By fourth period, everyone had already heard about last night's barn rave, and Apple and Eliza being dragged first thing in the morning to the headmistresses's office looking like crack whores. Eliza had apparently made out with three different hotties and barfed on the third. And Apple had started a mosh pit at a diner and egged dean Saddler's house. The four 'Blythes' they called them were always the center of gossip.

And Apple especially was all any one could talk about. Like usual. Her posts on tumblr. Her outfit this morning. Her hookup last night. Cassian was already fed up with it before morning bell. And what pissed him off even more was her little comment. He never let a fucking girl get a word in, not in front of his friend. And there's no way he would let her get away with it. Matteo and Reggie had never understood why he had it out for Apple. They were just arrogant idiots who followed along in whatever he did. When he told them to stuff her locker in condoms, they did it. When he told them to carve slut and whore into her desk, they did it. And when he told them to do what they did in the last year of middle school, for the first time they asked why, tried to talk him out of it, but eventually, they did it.

It was now last period, lit. Cassian swaggered in a little earlier than usual into the historic class. Brick walls, chalk board and all. His crew at his back and some bleach haired, cake faced slut in his arm. He strutted confidently to the seat center left in the last row of the class. And took his bitch on his lap, sitting comfortably on the table of the desk. It wasn't long before the rest of the class began to rock up. And loud whispers permeated the air. Under hands with eyes on the black haired hottie, making out with a bimbo on Apple Bloodworth's desk.

But Cassian didn't care. He thrived on the attention. Fed of off it like some love starved child. And when the queen herself arrived, his heart raced with the something familiar. Something old. The feeling she always used to give him. The feeling he had chased all of middle school. The feeling that all hell was about to break loose, all at the hands of that skinny, pretty faced girl.

Apple had cleaned up well since this morning's scandal. Now in her school issued mini plaid skirt, white blouse, and knee high socks. Her large round brown eyes, plump limps, and chocolate complexion twisted into a look of utter rage on seeing the source of the whispers. She had frozen at the door for a moment. Just a moment that no one else but Cassian would notice. Then, without hesitation, she tapped away on her heels, all the way to her desk, compact powder in hand, stopping so close she could smell the cheap perfume on the bitch.

"Cassie, you fucking slut," Apple spat.

Cassian and the bimbo were still smashing their faces against each other. He only lazily opened one eye for a moment, to get a full glimpse of Apple's scowl, before smirking and getting back to business. Apple frowned. Seeing that arrogant smug look was enough to set her off. She slapped open the compact, kicked the whore in the foot, and dumped the powder all over her hair. The bitch shrieked and jumped off his lap, her arms in the air and turning to gape her smudgy lipstick at Apple. Apple just smiled, that sweet doll-like smile of hers that could never make anyone really hate her. Then, she turned on her heels and stormed out of class, with Betty and Eliza hurrying to her side.

"Psycho bitch,"

the bimbo cried, as she dusted her face and hair. Cassian just ticked his tongue. Classic Apple. Her reaction wasn't what he had wanted. And the bitch had gotten powder on his jacket. He got up and shoved passed the bimbo. She grabbed his arm and put on her sultry voice "Baby, I still want more." Cassian just shook her off and walked out of class. That was part of what irritated him about Apple. She always pretended like she didn't care. Barked instead of trembled. And gave him that smirk of hers that say's she's won. It all pissed him off. And just once, he wanted to see her submit at his feet, like every other girl he had known.

Reggie called after him from the class doorway.

"Where you going man?"

Cassian didn't stop "For a smoke."

Reggie jogged to his side, "I'll come."

They went to the back of the school and burnt a cigarette. It was already starting to get cold enough to not need a cigar to blow smoke. The boys leaned against the wall.

"You gotta stop man,"

Reggie muttered, mouth half full of the paper.

"Stop what," Cassian just asked to make convo, he knew what Reggie was talking about, and Reggie knew it.

"You know what I'm talking about," bingo.

"Whatever,"

Cassian didn't want to talk about it. It had already been three years since they entered high school. They were seniors now. And since the middle school incident. Apple and Cassian hadn't had anything to do with each other. And he had wanted to keep it that way. That incident had blown up. Almost got him put in juvie. And he didn't like the way she made him feel, the way she changed him.

It was only when he had heard about last night. About Apple kissing fucking Tanner, someone he hated even more then Apple, that had made him go all the way to the headmistresses office on a whim, just to try to get a rise out of her. He didn't know why it had made him angry, why he had gone to piss her off. Maybe it was the idea that she had fully moved on from him, what he had done to her, started getting happy. And he couldn't have that. Not as long as he lived. But Cassian didn't think much anyway before he acted. All he cared about is that it had worked.

"I don't wanna end up back in that place bro, that was a dark time."

Cassian sucked on the cigarette and blew.

"We wont Reg, it was nothing, I was just bored, I swear."

Reggie looked genuinely relieved, "Thank god man, let's just move on, we're graduating soon anyways."

Cassian gazed hollowly at the brick wall in front of him, the cigarette doing nothing to fill the emptiness inside him,

"Yeah, let's move on."

You didn't think Cassian would let Apple get away with that little comment. Did you?

WARNING: This is a no morals dark romance story. Read at your own risk.

Are you looking for a kind and loving heroine, to follow through an inspiring adventure for love and happiness? Well you won't find that here. Because the guy is bad, and the girl is worse...

Apple had always been a lonely girl. She was different from the rest. In a way she could never change. And if she wanted to fit in, she would need to strip every piece of herself bare and start from scratch, remodel herself bit by bit into the perfect and untouchable girl she wanted to be. Especially if she didn't want a repeat of middle school.

Cassian, on the other hand, had never struggled with making friends. Boys worshipped him, and girls flocked to his feet for attention. He had a natural playfulness and charm which always drew people to him. However, when Apple was first brought to his notice in the 7th grade after a certain event, both of their lives changed forever. And Cassian grew to hate Apple more then he'd ever hated anyone before.

What could have happened between these two all those years ago? And will they finally reconcile now that they're in their final year of high school? Or will their mutual hatred escalate into something with actual lives at stake.
