Apple had always been a lonely girl. She was different from the rest. In a way she could never change. And if she wanted to fit in, she would need to strip every piece of herself bare and start from scratch, remodel herself bit by bit into the perfect and untouchable girl she wanted to be. Especially if she didn't want a repeat of middle school.

Cassian, on the other hand, had never struggled with making friends. Boys worshipped him, and girls flocked to his feet for attention. He had a natural playfulness and charm which always drew people to him. However, when Apple was first brought to his notice in the 7th grade after a certain event, both of their lives changed forever. And Cassian grew to hate Apple more then he'd ever hated anyone before.
