The second round starts. Lucian and Fenrir engage their opponent and quickly disposed of the serpent unit. The match barely lasted five minutes. After winning, Lucian and Fenrir decide to check out Ava and Valkyries match. And just in time too as Ava and Valkyrie had only just entered the arena.

“How do you think Ava and Valkyrie will do?” Asks Fenrir, concerned about the upcoming match.

“Ava is a skilled driver and Valkyrie is a skilled mech. They nearly gave us a run for our credits. I think they can handle Garon and Jotun.” Says Lucian.

“I hope you’re right Lucian.” Says Fenrir.

As the battle is about to start, the Announcer gets ready to introduce the combatants when they get a call. It turns out the driver of the allosaurus mech has gone missing. From there, the Announcer makes important announcement.

“People of the Galaxy. It has come to our attention that one of our combatants has gone missing. Before this match starts, it’s important to disclose that any and all malicious practices will be reported and the perpetrator will be banned from competing. The community puts in a lot of effort to ensure a healthy relationship between the public and combatants. Malicious actions will never be tolerated.” Says the Announcer.

After the announcement, the Announcer readies their voice and prepares to introduce the combatants proper.

“For today’s match, we have one corner Ava and her horned own Valkyrie ready to take to the skies! And on the other corner, our heavy weight fighter in an even heavier mech, Garon and their gorilla mech Jotun! Ready, set, RUMBLE!” The Announcer says as the bell rings, starting the match.

As the battle starts, Jotun starts by firing their rail cannon at Valkyrie for which the Owl manages to dodge each shot. In response, Valkyrie flies around Jotun and fires her energy cannons at Jotun. Jotun struggles land a hit on the much more agile Valkyrie. One of Valkyries shots manages to hit the back of Jotun’s rail cannon and blows it clean off. In the driver’s seat, Ava notices how none of Valkyrie’s shots are able to dent Jotun’s armor. Valkyrie continues to fire at Jotun before deciding slash at Jotun with her talons. Upon slashing Jotun, Valkyrie notices how one of her talons manages to hit a spot not protected by Jotun’s armor. Seeing an opportunity, Valkyrie decides to aim for unarmored spots. Little does she know that Garon has also become aware of Valkyries weaknesses.

While Jotun was blocking every shot, Garon is observing Valkyries flight pattern and how evasive she is. Like other mechs that specialize in speed, Valkyrie doesn’t have much armor as a tradeoff for greater agility. Right as Valkyrie is about to go for another attack, Jotun grabs Valkyrie and slams her into the ground breaking her left wing in the process. With one of her wings broken, Valkyrie is not as mobile as she used to be. Regardless, Valkyrie still holds her own by firing her energy cannons a Jotun. The firing stops when Jotun dropkicks Valkyrie, sending her flying into a wall of the arena. As Valkyrie lies on the ground, Jotun place one foot on her and raises their arm into the air.

“And the winner of this match is Garon and Jotun!” Calls the Announcer, declaring a winner.

The crowd screams and cheer at another thrilling match. Back in the waiting room, Lucian and Fenrir watch and realize that their next opponent is Garon. At the very least, the match gave Lucian and Fenrir a plan. Whether or not this plan will work is a different story. One thing is for certain, Garon and Jotun will be one pair of very tough opponents. As Lucian and Fenrir prepare for the final round, a Mysterious figure walks pass them and leaves the stadium. The Mysterious figure then pulls out a communication device and makes a call.

“It’s here sir. One the mechs has what we’re looking for.” Says the Mysterious figure.

“Excellent. Soon our plan will finally begin and galaxy will be ours.” Says the Receive at the other end.
