How to get Male Lead's Heart

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Jul 06, 2025

Lyra was currently staring at the ceiling of her room blankly, eighteen days had passed since she woke up in this novel possessing the body of a noble girl named Celestia Edeviene.

At first, her days went by without much change. Her daily routine was simple and repetitive such as taking a walk in the garden of the Edeviene residence, reading a book in the library, or even enjoying tea time while listening to the birds singing in the pavilion. It was all new to her at first, but as time went by, somehow boredom began to creep up on her.

However, without realizing it, her life had slowly become busy lately. It was in that busyness that Lyra finally realized something important, her marriage to the main character of this novel was only a matter of days. The blue board that approached her when she was first in this novel has also been getting noisier lately.

[Notification ; Character synchronization with current storyline 99%]

[REMINDER!!!! A few days to the wedding, two months to the execution, the clock is ticking]

[Notification ; Countdown will change depending on the actions of the special guest]

Lyra held her head and looked down as she read something from the floating blue board, as if dizzy with all the notifications that kept coming from the board without stopping.

Sometimes, she wondered why the blue board seemed to be more panicked than herself? She was the one getting married and facing execution two months later, not that annoying blue board.

"Gosh... this head feels like it's going to burst..." she muttered under her breath as she rubbed her slightly throbbing temples.

Wedding, execution, special guest, those words kept swirling around in her head like whispers of an evil spell from someone who wanted to curse her. Lyra closed her eyes for a moment trying to calm herself down. But the more she tried to do so the sound of the blue board clanking continued to buzz in her ears.

"I know that, so can you shut up a bit?" she said in a slightly raised voice, she stood pointing at the blue board with her index finger.

There was no reply from the blue board, Lyra's forehead twitched slightly as if she was holding back all the emotions from her mind. She let out a long sigh, then rolled over to the side of the bed while looking at the window that showed a beautiful blue sky. This world felt so beautiful, but for Lyra it was something very terrible.

The sound of knocking was heard from outside, when she heard this Lyra sat up again and walked over to the door and opened it. This time it was a young girl with brown hair and some freckles on her face that characterized the girl, it was Mai.

"You came, Mai? Lyra smiled a little, trying to hide the laziness that had just stirred in her, "So, what am I going to do today?"

Mai bowed slightly politely, then stood back up showing a huge smile, as if she couldn't wait to tell her lady.

"Oh, about that... "Mai said deliberately hanging her words, she raised her index finger then blinked one eye before continuing her words. "The designers from House Maredele are here, miss. They have finalized the design and want to confirm the size and final adjustments for your wedding dress."

Hearing that, Lyra's body froze for a moment. Of course, before the wedding there would definitely be a dress fitting, Lyra covered her eyes with the palms of her hands she knew very well that this could not be avoided, but she still could not believe that she would again wear a wedding dress at her age.

"Oh really? Alright," she said finally in a low voice, then exited the room completely, "Then, we can't keep them waiting can we?"

Mai smiled with relief at Lyra's answer "Alright miss, then I'll pamper you," she said cheerfully, she then walked ahead of Lyra and guided her lady to the living room which was on the lowest floor of Edeviene's residence.

The shiny marble floors and stairs were slowly walked along with the sound of shoes touching each step. Once they reached the bottom floor, a familiar sight greeted them.

In the spacious living room, Aiden, the owner of Maredele boutique, was sitting on a chair with several members of his design team. Dresses, fabrics, and accessories were neatly arranged on a standing hanger behind the chair they were sitting on.

In front of them, Count Edeviene, Darian Edeviene and his father Celestia were having a light conversation. As soon as they saw Lyra's arrival, their conversation stopped for a moment, all eyes now on her.

"Lady Celestia, my, you look even more beautiful than the last time we met," Aiden exclaimed with a warm smile. His gaze was full of genuine admiration, making the atmosphere in the parlor feel a little more cheerful.

Hearing the compliment, there was a slight blush on Darian's cheeks, and he quickly added in a voice that sounded bemused.

"What do you mean, Sir Aiden? Doesn't my daughter, Tia, look beautiful all the time?" His voice sounded casual, but there was a deep affection for his only child.

Aiden gave a small chuckle, nodding respectfully to Darian. "Of course, Count Edeviene. I just feel... today Lady Celestia looks more radiant than usual. Perhaps it's because of the approaching wedding," he said with a wink as if teasing.

Lyra who was standing by Mai's side could only smile a little at their conversation. She tried to hold back the awkwardness that was slowly building up inside her.

“Alright, looks like we're doing it now,” Aiden said, then clapped lightly as if signaling to his team. The young designers behind him then immediately moved to push a mannequin that showed the dress that had been planned beforehand along with some accessories that matched the outfit.

Mai's eyes widened in admiration, she brought her face closer to the mannequin that now stood in the center of the room.

“Miss, the dress is beautiful...!” she exclaimed in a low but enthusiastic voice. “I'm sure you'll shine when you wear it!”

Hearing that comment, Aiden chuckled, covering his mouth with one hand as was his habit. “Fufufu, you've got it, Miss Maid,” he said in his signature slightly dramatic style. He then turned his body slightly, looking at Lyra with pride.

"I have thought of the best design for Lady Celestia, taking into account all aspects, from the silhouette, to the cut, to the color shades. Of course the result will be very satisfactory." Her voice sounded confident, as if there was not the slightest doubt in her skill.

Lyra stared at the dress, her eyes reflexively widening. It was indeed beautiful, even more beautiful than the wedding dress she wore before. At first glance, she felt mixed emotions of awe, nervousness, and disbelief that all this was really happening to her.

After hearing Aiden's praise, Lyra took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She was already quite used to the designs and tense feelings related to the approaching wedding, but this time, looking at this dress that was specially prepared for her, she felt a sense of anxiety that she could hardly avoid.

"Alright, let's try it on," she said in a soft voice, though there was a slight tremble at the end of her sentence.

The designers began to move quickly, deftly helping Lyra to change, leading her to the dressing room that had been provided. Mai accompanied her, making sure the dress fit Lyra's body properly. All the movements felt fast, as if the designers were already used to doing things like this.

A few minutes later, Lyra came out of the dressing room, wearing a wedding dress that was so graceful, with layers of soft tulle and sparkling satin that wrapped her body perfectly. The dress had intricate details on the bust, adorned with sheer lace and crystals that reflected the light, making her look like a goddess descending from the sky.

As Lyra stepped out, AIden and the rest of the designer team immediately looked at Lyra with sparkling eyes. "Look, it's more than just beautiful," Aiden said, looking on with eyes full of praise.

However, among the reactions that had been shown, the most surprising reaction was that of Darian, the father. The middle-aged man, who had been looking at his daughter from a distance for a while, suddenly fell silent. His sharp eyes turned soft, a sense of pride at the sight of his daughter now standing before him.

"My daughter..." Darian's voice sounded hoarse, "You're so beautiful," he continued, his voice even softer than usual.

His eyes began to glaze over, and in an instant tears fell down his slightly wrinkled cheeks. He looked at Lyra, who was now wearing the wedding dress, as if looking at the figure of Marbelle, his long-gone wife.

"I feel Marbelle coming back to me right now for a moment," Darian continued, her voice trembling, full of controlled emotion. "My daughter, you look so much like your mother... I can almost feel it here, beside me. Marbelle would be very proud of you."

Lyra, who heard that, was silent for a moment. Although she knew that this body was not hers, she could feel how deeply Darian felt for her daughter. Marbelle's presence in Lyra's every step was very real, as if she could feel that woman's presence in every detail of the dress she wore, in every look of her loving father.

With a heavy heart, Lyra leaned closer to Darian and took his hand, "Dad, whoever sees this moment will know how much you love mom," she said in a soft voice trying to calm her father who looked so emotional.

Darian looked at her deeply, as if seeking comfort in his daughter's eyes. "Tia..." His voice was hoarse, "You're right, I always felt she was here, beside us. You are a part of Marbelle. I can only hope that, in the journey of your life, you still feel that she is always in your heart."

Lyra looked at Darian empathetically. Although she only possessed this body, but she could feel the deep bond between this father and son. In fact, she could feel the love of a mother who was still around them, even though Marbelle was gone. "I understand Father." Lyra replied softly.

Darian nodded, his tears falling further, but a small smile appeared on his face. "Thank you, Tia. I'm proud of you."

Aiden nodded in understanding as he saw the emotion that had built up between father and son, then in a caring manner he spoke.

"Well, I'm sorry if I interrupted the good mood," Aiden said in a slightly softer tone, trying not to disturb the moment. "Lady Celestia, is there something that makes you uncomfortable? Perhaps I can change it a little before the wedding day."

"Hmmm, it's comfortable overall, but Mr. Aiden," Lyra said as she glanced at the wedding dress she was wearing, "I think the bust needs to be loosened up a little more. It feels a little tight in here."

Aiden, who was already used to the criticism given by customers, immediately smiled and nodded quickly. "Of course, I'll adjust that part immediately. Thank you for your input, Lady Celestia."

He signaled to one of his assistants to immediately rearrange the section more perfectly, he always valued every detail for the comfort and satisfaction of his clients.

"Alright, I'll finish perfecting it when the wedding day arrives." Aiden said with a confident smile, ensuring that everything would be ready on time. "Thank you for your cooperation, Lady Celestia."

Lyra nodded, satisfied with that answer. She smiled faintly, though her heart was pounding with all the preparations that were getting closer to the wedding day she was forced to make.
