“I GOT IT!”
Shouted Ore, jolting up from his seat with excitement and joy.
“What?”
Asked Ilinca, groaning, being very upset
“I—I know how to do it, I know how to save ourselves. Ilinca, Richi, I know, I KNOW!”
“Whoa, calm down cowboy—what you got in mind?”
“I just know it’s something bad”
The scene changes to the lobby of a really modest bank, the inside of it, where it wasn’t crowded at all, only like a few people who were witnessing the creative mind of Ore and his way of having no shame or dignity at all.
On his knees, in front of the bank’s manager, there was Ore, crying and wheezing like a little baby on his day of birth.
“Pleaaaaaaaase, mister banker, please!”
“I don’t have much to live… please….”
Meanwhile, outside of the bank, watching through the big glass window of the bank, there were Ilinca and Richi who couldn’t hold back their laughter.
“No.”
Said the manager, leaving then and there.
Ore quickly got up, stopping the tears in a matter of a moment and left the bank like nothing has happened
Now on the streets in the middle of the walking path, Ore, the zero shame person who sold his dignity, had his day to day wear cap on the cap, turned upside down, with a piece of paper in front of it, supported so that the writing with the left hand could be seen, the “Donations” writing.
But his idea didn’t seem to work, maybe it was because he had the girls near him, who were looking away, acting like some clueless tourists to avoid losing their dignity like their friend over here, or maybe because the one in front of the donation spot, Ore, had brand new and clean clothes.
“Richi, which limb would hurt less… if it’s broken… I-I need it to make it look like I’m injured, maybe they’ll have some mercy
“That’s wild”
Demotivated and filled with negativity and hate towards the fact that they lost the trust of the principal in them, well… It was more of Ore’s fault, but they couldn’t just say that Ore lost it all because it wouldn’t have been that fair for him to take the fall for something he did…yes, Ilinca was like that, just a kind soul.
Later in the day, the principal was still occupied with the invites, he still had them over at his office or at the high school's cafeteria, so that was good.
The activities were over and Ilinca was cleaning up on one part of the sports festival inside the high school.
“Where are these guys, I swear… they let me all alone in here”
Nodded Ilinca sideways, sweeping some confetti, broken pieces of chips and some other garbage on the asphalt, with an old and almost unusable broom, while she got an unexpected raid by the two, running towards her, moving their hands in like a helping signal, shouting things she didn’t understand by the fact that they were far away from her, still inside the school, and they seemed to be followed by Gary the guardian, the one that was extra parent mode on the students and he was a big time snitch.
“RUN, WE GOT CAUGHT”
“GO ILINCA, GO!”
Shouted both, waving their hands in a continuous movement, seeming out of breath and exhausted maybe from all the running that they had done, but now they started getting closer
“HEY, ILINCA, RICHI, ORE, COME HERE RIGHT THIS MOMENT!”
Shouted the security guard, who wasn’t in the best shape suited for the job, but the intention was what mattered
“We’re so dead”
“It’s your fault!”
Shouted the girls, running one at his left side and one at his right side, trying to keep up with him in the marathon of “not being caught by the security guard to get sent to the principal's office and get scolded and extra school work for it”
