On a janky space station orbiting Mars, 15-year-old Agnes works at her immigrant family’s barely-surviving Chinese restaurant, “Ancient China.” The air is toxic, the beetles are edible, and the wok is powered by a hacked fusion pipe. It’s not much, but it’s home.
Agnes is tired — of surviving AI high school, fixing the stove, and dodging her mom’s matchmaking schemes. Her best friend Dina is a gutter punk trash-diving rebel with a hacked rewire and a dream to escape their space-heap lives. One stolen van and two banana costumes later, they crash a high-society Martian mansion party… and accidentally blow up their future. Literally.
Now, with their family on the verge of deportation, a pile of ramen-level debt, and the space cops watching, Agnes has to figure out how to clean up the mess — or risk losing the only world she's ever known.
