Chapter- 17:

XinLao's past.

A man who looks like he's in his 20s smirks as he pats, little XinLao's head, XinLao is 6 and a half years old at this point.

“Good job, son! You have the great potential to be an assassin!“ 

XinLao's dead eyes frown as he stares down at the body covered in blood.

“… daddy… I… don't want too…” He mumbles.

His father raises an eyebrow, looking down at him. 

“What did you say?“ 

XinLao's fists tremble, scared as he speaks out hesitantly.

“I… I don't want to kill…” 

His father's eyes narrow, glaring down at little XinLao.

“Well, you have too. XinLao, let me tell you this…” He grins and says again, 

“We kill people so that they can be free. So that they know we love them and wish them all the best.“ 

XinLao's eyes slightly widen. He didn't expect that… but he knows that isn't true. He isn't that dumb of a kid.

“Then, daddy… why don't you kill me? You do love me, don't you?“ He replies. His voice was blunt and straightforward.

His father flinches, looking down at XinLao as he stumbles back.

“I-I do love you! But, even without killing, I can show it in different ways.“

XinLao glares up at his father. He's just very tired to even listening to his father's words.

“Don't you want me to be free, Daddy? Then can't you just do it?“

His father flinches at his dead eyes… not having the spark they once used to have. He steps back and yells at XinLao.

“XinLao! I'm only saying this for your own good! You can be strong and protect yourself as the alpha you're supposed to be! Go back to your room and think about your actions!“

XinLao looks down at the bloody red floor and nods.

“Yes, daddy.“

XinLao goes to his room and locks the door, slumping down. His eyes still emotionless as he looks down at his hands.

“Hahh… I… don't want to be here.“ He mutters, covering his face in his knees.

Whenever, XinLao goes out, everyone mutters. A lady speaks up.

“isn't that the devil's child? I can't believe he's walking so freely! Call the police!“ 

XinLao glares at her and she flinches, stumbling back.

“S-See?! Look at that glare! H-Hes going to kill me next!“ Her voice trembles.

XinLao sighs, looking away. Tired of almost… everything right now. He's always been alone too, no friends to play with like other normal children… He quickly walks by, frowning.

'Why can't I be free? Is that wrong?' He thinks to himself.

Suddenly, a boy yells at the top of his lungs, causing XinLao to flinch.

“I am an alpha!“

XinLao turns to the direction of the sound, it's near the park… there are two kids bullying? A little boy, with beautiful long lashes and golden-yellow eyes with luscious-gold hair… He pauses, he's never seen that kind of alpha before…

The two kids, roll their eyes, not believing the boy.

“Hah! As if! You look more like an omega! Don't lie!“

They kick the boy, As he stumbles back, tears flowing down his eyes.

“I-I am an alpha-! I-I got tested yesterday okay-?!“

A kid speaks up, glaring at him, and not believing him.

“As if! You're way too girlie for an alpha! So just admit you're an omega!“

XinLao narrows his eyes, not liking this as he sneaks on over. No one noticing his presence. As he then stands up straight and yells,

“Hey, Stop doing that!“ He adds a death glare which makes the two kids flinch.

The kids back away, scared as they tremble.

“T-T-The devil's child-! Mommy!“ Their voice stutters as they run away.

XinLao groans, he has been used to this scene… he walks over to the boy on the floor and extends his hand.

“If you're an alpha, you shouldn't let people walk over you.“

He suddenly flinches, remembering yesterday's blood on his hands but as he tries to quickly take his hand away, the boy grabs it hardly, making even XinLao get startled, as the boy gets up with XinLao's help.

“Yeah, that's true. Thanks for the help tho!“ The boy says with a wide smile on his face.

XinLao freezes, the boy looks very beautiful up close, and quite delicate too… he still can't believe that this boy is an alpha… he looks more like an omega.

“… what's…. What's your name…?” He asks, hesitantly as he avoids eye contact.

The boy smiles as he holds his hand, not letting go at all.

“I'm Reilivon Recardoz! You can just call me Reli if you like! Nice to meet you!“

XinLao flinches as, the boy, Reilivon continues to hold his hand. Causing him to get slightly flustered.

“I…I'm XinLao Jinho… you… can call me Xin… And, nice to meet you too…?“

Reilivon chuckles at the slight confusion as he looks at, XinLao with wide and sparking eyes.

“Haha! Alright, Xin! Wanna be friends?“ 

XinLao freezes, no one asked him to be his friend before… a spark lights up in his eyes as he nods, slightly, looking away flustered… he's never experienced this feeling before.

“Y…yeah.“
