Our fellow friend continued advancing through the unorganized and odd terrace of the forest, covered by tall trees that were looming over him, masking the night sky and the truth of the events that had occurred earlier. Obviously, it didn't take long before he found himself into sticky situations: hitting his feet on random obstacles, underestimating the depth and hight of the surface (his overall conception of altitude wasn't the best to begin with) and overall, ending up in a position he really had grew not rather fond of: layed down, face staring straight into the soil.
Deterred though, he was not.
Pushing through all the hindrances that were put before our traveler, the road eventually led him to an open field of tall grass where he was able to witness the reality of things at last. The star of light was indeed gone, however, the sky still provided another grand spectacle: it’s color had shifted to a darker pallet without losing its grace and as for its illumination, countless white dots beautifully decorated it, shining warmly from a very far distance, just like the morning star.
Athan was (once again) amazed by this magnificent view -how unexpected- and his original dismay of the vast unknown, slowly diminished to nothingness, as he stared gleefully at the glamour of the starry night.
The gentle midnight breeze patted his face and blew his hair and garments into different directions, making him feel just the way he did when he was born: a state of calmness and tranquility. He couldn't really describe what it was, but compared to all the misfortunes and harmful experiences, this was rather… soothing.
The sky, -surprisingly- did not seem to show any signs of tearing or destruction and Athan was suddenly brought back to his senses, as he looked all over the place in order to detect anything that took place in the event. Noticably, the chains that had pierced the top where nowhere to be found and neither were the giant tress that erupted from the heart of the planet, nor the mysterious individual. It was all so… bizzare*.
Was it REALLY a hoax after all?
...
Athan tried to think of something but (due to his limited critical thinking) came up with nothing. With no further leads to follow, his investigation was set aside. In this very moment, having had such an eventful first day alive, he quietly sat down on the tall grass, relieving himself of any thought regarding his troubles and indulged himself in the serenity the world was offering at this moment.
That was Athan’s first emotion… peace.
*(Is that a JoJo reference?!?!)
