Life wasn't simple. Skoll knew that. But this . . . he didn't know what to think. On one hand this was what he wanted. If he was reading Elliot right he was opening up to the idea of their being more but on the other hand he was only open to that idea because he knew he wasn't going to leave him. That pinned Skoll into a corner and he never did good with the thought of being cornered.
"So, you like me and have liked me but kept me at arms length for something another man did and now that you know I'm not going to leave it's suddenly okay so you are throwing all the rules out the fucking window and what I'm assuming is hoping that I'm going to be okay with it all?"
Elliot covered his face with his hands, "Maybe." He said in a pained mumbled. "I know it's fucked up."
Skoll laughed, really laughed. His arms hugged his sides as he almost brought himself to tears over laughing. It couldn't have been this fucking easy from the beginging.
Elliot leaned up on his elbows, watching as Skoll laughed at him. He deserved that. When Skoll got control over himself and looked back at Elliot he had this look in his eyes Elliot had never seen before. He didn't know how to read it. The smirk that crept on his face caused Elliot to tense up as Skoll came at him. Skoll quickly grabbed Elliot by the wrist pinning them above his head. His knees squeezed in tight against Elliot's thighs pinning him.
"All I had to say was that I couldn't leave and you would have let me in?" His voice was deep and rough. His wolf speaking, shifting forward.
"Well, the whole wolf thing would have been nice to know too."
"The whole wolf thing is why I won't leave." Skoll smiled, "We mate for life."
Elliot swallowed hard.
Skoll leaned back slightly, still holding him down. "I'm the only one open to being hurt here."
"I know." Elliot started to squirm under him. He wasn't a fan of being pinned like this.
"Are you actually going to give us a chance or just use me?" Skoll licked his lips. "I might not have another mate out there but that doesn't mean I'll keep playing nice like I have been." He growled slightly, "I've been sooo gooood."
Elliot didn't like the sound of that. Nor did he like the thought of what a 'not good' Skoll looked like. "I asked you to stay, didn't I?" Elliot spoke firmly.
"You did." Skoll let go of his wrist. "I guess I could take that as a yes . . . for now." He smiled, the dark aura around him leaving, bopping Elliot on the end of his nose with his finger.

Skoll woke up to ten pounds of white fluff sitting on his chest. The bed was empty beside him. Elliot went for a run every morning, part of his routine. The cat's paws felt like daggers on his chest as she sat there staring at him. His wolf was taking it as a challenge. His lip curled into a snarl as Elliot walked in.
"What the fuck is she doing?" Skoll asked, motioning to the cat.
Elliot laughed, pulling his now sweat drenched compression shirt off over his head. "Star, Skoll. Skoll, Star."
"You named your cat Star?" Skoll asked, still looking at her.
"Technically the shelter named her Twinkle Star but Star for short. Twink when she's bad."
"Twink, get off me." Murmured Skoll. He had never been around a cat before let alone had one sitting square on his chest challenging him.
Her response to him asking her to get off was a paw to the face.
"Eli." Called Skoll. His wolf liked her even less.
"She's just a little baby." Cooed Elliot as he walked around the bed to pick her up. "If you plan on staying the night here you'll have to be friends." Elliot smirked, putting her down. "I wouldn't want to have to choose between the two of you." He spoke jokingly but as soon as the words left his mouth he knew he shouldn't have said it.
Skoll grabbed him by the arm, throwing him on the bed face down. Skoll's weight was heavy over him. His breath panting on the back of his neck.
"Too soon?" Elliot added.
"Too soon." Skoll confirmed, his nose running along the side of his neck, getting easily distracted. "You smell good." His natural pheromones mixed with the saltiness of his sweat and the cool morning air.
"I'm all sweaty, and getting it all over the sheets." Elliot fought against him. "So, get off me."
Skoll growled low in his ear, "Fuck the sheets." He licked along his neck, pulling Elliot's head back by his hair so he could get to his mouth, kissing him deep. Elliot fought back, japping Skoll in the ribs with his elbow, getting a groan of pain from him and enough of a shift so he could roll Skoll off of him, gaining the upper hand.
Elliot the one now pinning Skoll into place beneath him. A glimpse of tryothim on his face. "I'd love to play. I really would but I need to shower and get to work."
Skoll pouted, poking out his bottom lip which Elliot took as an invite to bite. "Maybe a quickie in the shower?" Elliot changed his mind about not playing.
