Hello everyone! I didn't have the time or energy to post anything last week, but I did do a little illustration for today! But let's start ith some old ones I'm dusting off for this, lol. Also, there will be some SPOILERS about the second season and a bit of the end of the first for the third image--which is also the last--so skip it if you mind spoilers and havent' read that far. There's nothing too big, but just in case. Moving on!
This is one I did for OC-tober. I usually do that art prompt challenge every year and most of them are just sketchy things like this one. The theme was something a character likes, I think and Aster definitely has a sweet tooth, lol. I like to think Beryl always complained about the cavities she had to fix up for him.
Next we have another OC-tober one. I don't remember the theme, lol. It's definitely meant to be representing Aster and his dreams I just don't remember why I drew it. It's kind of funny how he's gotten so used to seeing his own brutal death though.
And finally, I did this one this past weekend. It took me a bit because I was busy so I couldn't work on it for long, but also there's a lot of linework. This is one of my favorite styles though. I've always been partial to manga and one of my favorite works artistically is CLOVER from CLAMP. The simplicity and contrast is nice. Black and white art is so pretty to me.
So anyway, fun fact, Aster's ambidextrous but I forgot to mention it, lol. He prefers to use a specific hand for certain things like, he'll switch hands when writing to avoid those annoying seams in journals. Aster's very practical like that. Magic is more of a "whatever's convenient" sort of thing so he uses whichever hand's easier. This picture takes place sometime after season one, hence the short hair. He's trying to get some practice writing with his left hand after he was unable to use it for a bit because of the burns.
Anyway, that's it for now! I'll hopefully have some more next week. There's a little sketch I'll try to finish for then. Hope you all liked this last batch!
