Their little spat on the difference between incantations and sorcery is surprisingly lore accurate, it is true that sorceries require an understanding of the mechanics of magic and physics, as such their study requires an in depth analysis of such system.
But Centauri has studied too I'm sure, in my mind what separetes incantations and sorceries is that incantations require an affinity towards a divine being and its preceps, studying those as such asks faith, a commitment towards divine things.
