My Second Life Is OverPower [VOL_1]

Chapter 6 - The Dormitory

Chapter 6 - The Dormitory

Jul 19, 2025

The sky began to darken, and adventurers started leaving the guild one by one. Syura was still under the tree near the guild.

Syura gazed at the adventurers as they gradually departed from the guild. Master Drake and Gyuta also left.

Master Drake and Gyuta walked while chatting. Syura only watched from a distance.

Not long after, Silvia came out of the guild to lock the door.

Syura looked at Silvia. He stood up and ran toward her.

“Plakk… plakk… plakk” — the sound of Syura’s quick footsteps.

“What is it, Syura? You look like you’re in a hurry,” said Silvia while locking the guild door.

“I forgot to ask where I can stay,” said Syura.

“I thought… it was something serious.”

“You can stay in the guild’s dormitory.”

“The rent is cheap too—only five silver coins.”

“You can borrow my money for now, since I know you’re new here,” said Silvia.

Syura smiled, feeling very happy.

“Thank you, Silvia. I’m really glad,” said Syura.

Then, Silvia took five silver coins from her pants pocket.

“Here, I’m giving this to you. You can return it, or not—it’s up to you,” said Silvia.

“Thank you, Silvia. You’re very kind.”

“Tomorrow I’ll take on a mission to pay this back,” said Syura.

Silvia then gave directions to the guild dormitory.

“Just go straight from here, then turn right,” said Silvia.

“Thank you, I’ll head there right away,” said Syura.

Syura walked away from the guild. Slowly, the sky turned darker and colder winds wrapped around his body.

“Tonight feels really cold.”

“I wonder what kind of mission I’ll take tomorrow?” Syura murmured softly.

Then, Syura turned right, following Silvia’s directions.

He saw a two-story wooden house—sturdy, with glowing lights in every room, except for one with the lights off.

“A pretty big and sturdy place,” said Syura.

Syura walked toward the house. When he reached the front, there was a sign that read:

Syura knocked and entered the dormitory.

“Tokk… tokk… tokk” — the sound of Syura knocking on the door.

“Ceklek” — the sound of the door opening.

As Syura entered the dormitory—

“Hello, I’m Syura. I’d like to stay here,” said Syura.

A blonde woman with black eyes greeted him. She wore a uniform like a hotel receptionist—a black vest, white shirt, and a skirt.

“Welcome, Syura.”

“My name is Valmila Caramel.”

“Perfect timing—there’s one room available.”

“One night costs five silver coins.”

“One week is thirty silver coins,” said Valmila.

Syura responded,

“For now, just one night.”

Then Syura gave five silver coins to Valmila.

“Here’s the money, Valmila,” said Syura.

Valmila took the coins and handed Syura a room key.

“Here’s the room key.”

“Your room is on the second floor, at the very end,” said Valmila.

“Thank you, Valmila,” said Syura.

“My pleasure,” said Valmila.

Syura then slowly climbed the stairs.

“Tap… tapp… tapp” — the sound of Syura’s footsteps on the stairs.

He arrived upstairs and walked through the hallway to the last room.

Syura took out the key and inserted it into the door lock.

“Ceklek” — the sound of the door opening.

He turned on the lights and saw a room that wasn’t very big, but cozy. A medium-sized bed with a brown wooden frame, a bathroom, a window, and a wardrobe.

“A room that’s not too big, but perfect for one person,” said Syura.

Syura took a bath and went to bed.

Syura was an ordinary young man living a life without any major problems. His days were filled with relaxing activities, especially playing his favorite RPG games. His life was almost perfect—stress-free, drama-free, and without any grand ambitions.

But everything changed because of one simple request from his parents: “Buy some groceries.”
Syura refused—obviously, it was a waste of gaming time! But in the end, he lazily went anyway.

The trip there went smoothly. But on the way back, a ridiculous twist of fate awaited him.
On the 15th floor of an apartment building, a mother was watering her plants. Unexpectedly, two stray cats began fighting right next to a large flower vase. One push—and the vase went flying down.

And at the most “unlucky” moment in human history... Syura was walking right beneath it.

A loud bonk, darkness, and a hospital—and then... death.

But death was not the end for Syura.
