Alex, lost in an abyssal chasm, darkened with nothing but shroud, sees circles of blue as his eyes flicker in the voidal space. He looks around but there is still nothing but darkness. The only thing within this void is himself, his eyes' light. Both of his eyes. Leering into the nightly dusk, He stares around him, still realizing he's unable to speak. Why isn't he able to speak? Alex starts remembering some pieces of what happened until they fully reveal to him. "Am I..." He feels a cold murmur behind him as he's looking down at the blackened floor. "Not yet. Hello, Alex." A chilling caw echos into his ears. Light feathers glisten upon his blue light as he slowly turns his head to find a sleek bird-like skull. Horns are spiraling behind its hollow-bone shell, as he stares right at him with white moons for eyes. Alex is unable to move as the cowled bird-like humanoid taps their hind sphinx-like foreclaw upon the hardened spectral floor. The room glistens and lights up from the platform as wispy tendrils cascade upward like tornados reaching for the clouds.
Alex jitters as he is watching the feminine being walk around. Hopeless, he quivers but calculates his every move like an animal, hoping to find weakness or even a way out. "I bet you are wondering what I am, Alex", says the cloaked stranger. Alex looks at him and stops trying to move, putting his arms down and standing up straight. "That bird from before..." again, Alex speaks without his mouth moving. The stranger laughs at his cute guess, "Hahah... very close. I am an aspect of death." The stranger walks up to Alex and swipes slowly at him. "But not THAT one." Alex closes his eyes but opens them to see his body turn into smoke for a bit and goes back to the regular humanoid form. "And you, Alex, are a wisp right now. You are trapped within your own body, unable to move and unable to leave. I think it's safe to say you need a guide." Alex pauses and stares back at the stranger, after looking at his hands reel back into the form they once took, curling like steam and retracting back into solidified spirit. He starts to ask a question but the bird stops him and speaks again. "Shhh... My name is Thana. I am part of the flesh and bone of death himself. Come, we mustn't dwell here as it won't solve anything. You are in a coma. At least... in some way."
Alex starts in again but has yet another interruption, "You will be back in your body soon. This is only temporary. Your body isn't built like a regular organism. You will be fine. I suppose you could say... it's a 'dream'." Thana holds out his cold palm, claws and all, and takes their raptorous mask off, pure silver-white hair flowing with white gleaming eyes staring into Alex's. His skin, dark, grey. He's cloaked in darkened robes and has a staff with a circular opening at the end. An orb is within it, writhing with energy, a black hole encased in white. The horns, real. They attach behind a thin veiled eye-cover with dainty white textiles. "I hope this finds you less at unease." Alex leers at him but takes his hand. A black portal with white outline opens behind Thana, engulfing them with the same render. As Thana's whipping tail seethes into the dark mirrored transport, Alex, too is covered and disappears from the pitch black labyrinth.
