Shion's screams summoned the waiters standing guard near the room. Indeed, screams erupted from their throats, from the new waiters to the ones who had arrived late.

“You, the one standing there!” shouted the police officer at the door. The officer pointed at Shion and sprinted towards him, handcuffing him.

“No, I'm not the culprit!” Shion defended himself. Ryu remained standing in the middle of the room, contemplating something.

"He's the culprit."

Truly, Shion had never felt such a painful betrayal. Just minutes ago, he had just met a friend he had gotten along with perfectly, and just seconds before, he had been betrayed by the same person. The police officer holding Shion grinned broadly and dragged the culprit out of the room. Ryu didn't even turn around. The whispers from the bystanders gradually grew louder, and soon they began to leave the room.

The blazing light hurt Shion’s vision, as he had just woken up from his stupor. 

“Wh-who… are you?”

“You don’t remember me? You’re indeed still insane.”

Shion narrowed his eyes, focusing on the person standing in front of him. Oh!

“Kazu, it’s you, right? Kazu.”

“You do remember. Happy to see me?”

Before we continue, let me explain. A long, long time ago. When Shion was still studying at university, aiming to fulfill his worldly wish, he befriended Kazu. They were always together, everywhere. They were in the same major, both aiming to become detectives.

However, one day, they had a big fight. The reason? It was trivial. Because Shion accidentally bumped into Kazu. At the time, Kazu was angry and jealous.
