“Am I not free even on the weekend?”

“That’s right, you are a CEO of two companies, isn’t it a given?”

“Right.. How are the executives of nightly orbitals managing recently? I’ve been too occupied with AX investment.” - Jiwon

“They are managing alright, they are the best in their fields after all, but there’s only so much they can do without your instructions.” - Joon ho

“What’s the weekly report?” - Jiwon

“Sean and Juliet are currently investigating an orphanage, we had donated to them in the past, we’ve have discovered that they’ve been using the money and children for drug smuggling.” - Joon ho

“The children?” - Jiwon

“Yes, since most of those children are “troubled” orphans, it wouldn’t be suspicious, and they aren’t likely to get punished for it since they are juveniles.” - Joon ho

“Scumbags… They wouldn’t have been able to do this for long tho.” - Jiwon

“That’s true, they haven’t. They switch the methods frequently, and it seems they have bribed a couple of officials to overlook what they’re doing, bet they’re junkies too. What should we do next?”

“record all their moves, tell Sean and Juliet to track down their drug supplier, that way we can have the police raid them, tell Emily to offer to relocate the children to our orphanage after the case is solved.” - Jiwon

“Should I contact the cops anonymously? What’s the code name this time?” - Joon ho

“Raven,” - Jiwon

Later that week, all reports of the orphanage were compiled along with the drug’s supplier’s meeting spot and sent to the same officer of the major crimes department, Lee sung min.

“Mr. Lee!!” - ???

“What’s the matter?” - Mr. Lee

“The bird man, he’s back.” - ???

“That Bastard.. I thought he finally went under the radar, What bird is it this time?”

“It’s a Raven, it’s about an orphanage that uses kids to transport drugs, he sent us all the records, including the suppliers meeting spot this Saturday.” - ???

“He always sends a flashy case, this seems like a pretty big deal, if it comes out it will causes a public commotion.” He took a deep breath and rested his hands on his waist. “All the cases he sent us previously were compiled perfectly, make sure to thoroughly investigate this, I’ll ask for backup to raid the suppliers.” - Mr. Lee

“sir, what’s this about a ‘bird man’?” - ???

“Oh you’re a rookie so you must not know this, for the past few years, anonymous reports are sent a couple times a year. Each time under a different alias, like Parrot, Eagle, Swan, and now Raven.” - Mr. Lee

“Are anonymous reports usually taken as seriously as this one?” - Rookie

“All his reports are extremely detailed, CCTV, pictures, voice recordings, bank transfer records, you name it.” - Mr. Lee

“Who is this Raven guy?” - Rookie

“No one knows, we’ve been trying to track down his identity, but we have not made any progress in years, he covers all his tracks, his work is thorough and neat. I never thought it’s possible, but he doesn’t leave a speck of dust behind.” - Mr. Lee

“It sounds like he is doing a good thing, no?” - Rookie

“Good? It is true he is helping us out, but what he is doing is illegal, voice recordings, bank transfers, and surveillance, do you think if his work was done ethically, he would use such alias’s? It is not good if it’s illegal, the police force exists for a reason.” - Mr. lee

“Why do you use the evidence he provides then?” - Rookie

“We use the hard evidence, the other stuff we have to investigate ourselves, even if what he is doing is illegal, we cannot ignore any of the cases he sends, they’re too big to ignore. If he is this reliable, do you think he’d would leave us alone if we ignored what he sends? He’ll turn to the public instead and then we will get criticized.” Mr. Lee lit up a cigar and started to review the report files quietly on his desk.

Jiwon and Joon-ho pulled over at the AX Investment building. When he walked through the entrance everyone bowed instantly, the ladies were mesmerized at his graceful demeanor, and the men had their ego’s scratched. His suit was well ironed without a single wrinkle like a perfect printing paper. His shoes had a slight heel to them, they’d make a noise that echoed through the silence of the reception hall, it rang like a church’s bell; leaving an after effect with each fleeting step. Behind him, walked his secretary, Joon-ho carried with him the presence of an aid, mirroring Jiwon’s discipline through his straight gaze and aligned posture.

On the top floor, there was the meeting room of the executives of Nightly Orbitals, only certain people have access to this level. Each of them carries a special executive’s card, the fire exit only opens from the inside as well. There’s a big safe there, in it lies all the Nightly Orbital case and investigation files.

“Are they all here?” -Jiwon

“Yes, they all emptied up their schedules for today” - Secretary (Joon-ho)

“How come everyone’s working on a weekend?” -Ji won

“They’re behind on their work, otherwise they’d miss the deadlines”

“I have a good eye for people.” - Jiwon looked at Joon-ho for approval,

“They get paid too well to refuse.”
