Chapter 17 "Neon Nights & Epic Dreams"

After finishing their last mission, Yen, Sun, and Night get hit with a glowing system notification:

> “You’ve been invited to the Synth City Celebration – Hosted by: Jin (Party Synth).”

They teleport into Synth City, a vibrant sprawl of neon streets, floating billboards, and synths of every class. The celebration is a mix of lasers, music, and next-gen tech displays.

At the heart of it all is Jin, the wild, untamed party god of the synths, spinning music directly from his circuits. He welcomes them in with open arms and zero chill.

The trio gets introduced around:

Pumpkin Bro, rolling in with a pumpkin skull helmet and jack-o-lantern drones.

G-Win, dancing barefoot on a floating platform while heatwaves shimmer behind him.

Violet and Lexi, representing Arkesha Bank, draped in slick armor-punk fashion.

Kameka, chill and mysterious, tweaking calibration bots while sipping synth juice.

Lee, the lowkey bag guy from Biontech Prep, showing off backpacks with anti-gravity fields.

Liam, keeper of the Terminals, hints at forbidden zones only a few can reach.

Victor, dealing glowing vials of instant regen and boost packs.

Jerry, flexing new melee weapons with quantum edges.

Isabella, printing armor with adaptive molecular systems that glow to your emotions.

And then… Liu enters.

She’s a newly-born synth, but her presence is unreal—haloed in floating upgrade chips and fractal-coded tattoos moving across her skin.she introduces himself:

> "I'm Liu. I specialize in modifying and upgrading Epic Equipment—the kind that’s already stronger than Legendary. Give me that, and I’ll turn it into something the system’s not even ready for."

Yen looks down at his worn High Quality Boots. Sun’s armor still reads Rare, and Night's sword is just scraping Legendary.

> Night: "We don’t have Epic gear yet."

> Liu (smirking): “Then you’ve got a mission. Find Epic Equipment. Bring it to me. I’ll show you what real power feels like.”

The party continues, lights bouncing off their faces, but their minds are already racing. They clink glasses, laugh, enjoy the night…

But deep down, they set a new vow:

> “We’re going beyond Legendary.”

Chapter 18 “Backpacks & Bankrolls”

Sun and Night are offline—stuck in real-world duties—leaving Yen solo in the neon-sprawl of Synth City. But Yen ain’t wasting time.

He links up with Lee, the hyperactive Bag Synth, who talks in rapidfire sentences and worships zippers like they’re sacred artifacts.

> Lee: “Bro, tech scraps are life. You run out—you’re dead in the craft game. Let’s go hunting!”

Yen’s out of scraps ever since he burned through his last reserves making the infamous Explorer’s Backpack—a sleek, AI-assisted utility bag with item sorters, cloaking nodes, and self-repair features.

Together, they hit the Tech Market, Yen flipping low-tier items and bartering with smooth talk to grab scraps. Lee guides him on which sellers have decent rates and which ones are "full-on scrap scammers."

But Yen doesn’t stop there.

He gets a side-gig through his gang's internal network—a job at their Recycle Station. It’s gritty: old medical drones, half-burnt terminals, decayed synth limbs... but in the junk lies value.

He extracts AI Cores—high-demand components—and sells them at a peak price in the Tinkering Market. With that cash, he buys Tech Scraps. Then flips them. Buys again. Flips again.

> Yen (thinking): “I don’t need a team to get rich. I just need a loop... and some hustle.”

Six days pass. He’s basically printing money with tech.

By the end of the sixth day:

57 Tech Scrap Clusters earned (each = 1000 tech scraps).

He crafts 9 Explorer’s Backpacks.

Needs 11 more to fully gear his gang’s employees.

His name spreads in trading circles. Players like:

Lord of Wrath (notorious PvPer turned rare gear flipper),

Happy Gas (sells emotion-based weapons and consumables),

Holy Flap (angelic-themed mercenary who buys premium gear)
start noticing him.

> Holy Flap (in world chat): “Yo, Yen’s backpack craft is elite. Might need one for my healer alt.”

> Lord of Wrath: “He’s smart. Doesn’t chase bosses. He builds empires.”

Yen doesn’t even brag. He just sets up his trader terminal, polishes the ninth backpack, and smirks.

> Yen: “When the others come back, I’m not just support. I’m the f*cking supplier.”
