Looks like you’ve found the right place, Nathan! ✨
Back in the 1930s, Eldorado was one of Berlin’s most open and inclusive places. It didn’t matter who you were, how you dressed, or who you loved — what mattered was being yourself. With glitter, music, and a joy for life, everyone could shine in their own way.
We’ll say it again: don’t miss the beautiful documentary available on Netflix!
How sad to think of the setback we went through from the late 1930s to the late 1960s in terms of rights and visibility and acceptance of sexual minorities. It was such a long fight after WW2 to get back to something that resembled the early 1930s. And even sadder to think that here we are now in 20-f***ing-25 and the situation is still so horribly far from perfect in so many countries, and we still could lose everything at any moment if we're not careful.
