With every human that is born in this world there is a small chance that some are able to see creatures called Malignants. These creatures are created from the darkness of human hearts, and, when large enough, would disconnect from their host’s heart and devour them whole. When this happens, they become free roaming and grow stronger and stronger with every human they eat.
Sayoko Kurenai is one of these people who has always able to see Malignants. Whenever she spoke of them, she was ridiculed and bullied which caused her to distance herself from peers and become cruel. But after encountering her own malignant, she’s saved and later convinced that there is a way to stop these monsters. Sayoko embarks on bloody and dangerous missions to eradicate these Malignants once and for all.
