Chapter7: Time Coil Island – The Treasure of Silence

The sea calmed after the Kraken’s digital corpse sank into the depths, leaving behind a trail of blue static mist and torn code particles. The Pixel Raider, held together by some miracle, sailed onward through glitching waves and electric wind. Yen stood at the front, his jacket torn, eyes fixed on the horizon.

Beside him, Autumn Leaf adjusted his energy staff, humming some kind of monkish chant that auto-healed both of them slightly every few minutes. Dude was OP, but chill about it.

“There it is,” he said finally.

From a distance, the island rose like a sleeping beast. It shimmered with streaks of lightning running along its surface—an entire landmass shaped like an eel, its back cracked and glowing like neon circuitry. From above, you’d see it coiled into an 8-shape, with its head as a cliff and its tail forming a deadly spiral of magnetic rocks.

Time Coil Island.

No maps showed it. No radar could scan it. But every rogue AI, forgotten pirate, and black-market vendor whispered its name.

As they approached the shore, magnetic turbulence hit the ship like a slap.

"WARNING: Gravitational anomaly detected."

The ship landed with a metallic crunch, surrounded by waves of digital electricity crackling over the black-sand shore. Trees here weren’t trees—they were coiled wires rising like vines, sparking gently with green light.

All around, cybernetic beasts moved like guardians. Viral Howlers—mutated panther-like programs with mouths of spinning blades. Shock Scorpions, the size of mopeds, crawled under the terrain and could burst up at any time. Above them flew Data Crows, bird-like scouts made from scrap code and infected memory files.

Yen stepped onto the beach, clutching the mysterious item he had hidden in his inner pocket.

[Synaptic Acceleration Transmitter – S.A.T]

Rarity: ???

Description: Incomplete information. Data structure locked. Potential unlocked: 1%.

It pulsed in his hand like a heartbeat. Whenever he touched it, time slightly slowed. Leaves fell slower. Waves froze. Even Autumn’s movements looked like they lagged by a few milliseconds.

“What are you?” Yen whispered to the glowing device. He still didn’t know its true power.

But soon, he'd start to learn.

Deeper into the island, near the cliffside shaped like the eel’s head, a massive rusted ship sat docked inside a crater. It wasn’t floating—it was stuck into the rock, converted into a pirate stronghold. The ship had a cannon larger than a house and cyber turrets hanging from cables like robotic jellyfish.

Autumn Leaf and Yen approached stealthily, but alarms triggered anyway.

“ALERT: Unidentified entities detected. Defense mode: DEEP CUT.”

From all sides, the Pirate Crew swarmed out. They weren’t just pirates—they were Synth Buccaneers: half-machine, half-human, armed with weapons so custom-made they didn’t even show up in the database.

Cyber Crew Breakdown:

Blazer Widow – a six-armed assassin with rotating laser blades and a stunner tail. She moved like a glitch in the system—always one second ahead.

Captain Coilguard – wore a lightning-charged trench coat and carried a Phase-Shifter Axe, capable of teleporting enemies mid-swing and cutting through shields.

Boombyte Twins – two loud-mouthed juggernauts with EMP Grenade Launchers, bouncing between walls and frying circuits.

Sharpbeard the AI Sniper – perched on the crow's nest with a zero-delay pulse rifle, coded to auto-aim for weak points.

Autumn Leaf stepped forward like it was nothing.

“I’ll handle the crew. You get the captain.”

Yen nodded, darting through the shadows as Autumn unleashed pure destruction. His golden staff spun like a windmill, deflecting bullets, bending light, and breaking AI bones. It was like watching poetry commit murder.

Inside the control room at the center of the wrecked ship, the Pirate Captain waited—an old synth-human hybrid with a long mechanical beard and glowing cyber-eyes. His body was more machine than man.

Yen burst in, aiming his blaster.

“Don’t move!”

The pirate smirked.

“Took you long enough.”

Yen locked him down with a paralysis bolt. “You’re coming with us. The quest reward says I need you alive.”

The pirate didn’t resist. He just stared at Yen… then down at the pocket holding the glowing transmitter.

“So you’re the one who found it. Guess I was too late.”

Yen blinked. “What do you mean ‘it’? You mean this thing?”

He reached into his pocket to pull out the S.A.T. The pirate’s eyes dimmed a little.

“You have it. The treasure I’ve been looking for since this world began.”

Yen leaned closer. “What is it?”

But the captain didn’t answer. Instead, he raised one hand, tapped a small button on his chest…

"DEACTIVATING USER MEMORY MODULE."

He shut down. Just like that. A lifeless shell of glowing parts.

Yen stared in disbelief. “Bro. What the hell…”

Later, back at the Synth Village on the edge of Time Coil Island, Yen and Autumn delivered the pirate’s body to a female Synth named Haxa—a scavenger with a melted visor and soft voice.

The moment she saw the pirate captain, she gasped.

“Brother…?”

She walked over and hugged him—even though he didn’t respond. For the first time, Yen saw a synth cry.

“His mind may be gone,” she said, “but his code still remembers me.”

The two Synths now lived peacefully in the village, rebuilding what they could.

But Yen stood alone by the cliff, holding the glowing transmitter.

Something inside him whispered...

This is not just a weapon. It’s a piece of a key.

A key to time.

A key to space.

And if he ever found the other half…

He might not just change the game.

He could reshape it.

“Can I really become… god-like?”
