Chapter 10
"Our galaxy"
A few weeks had passed since Aster met Bruno's friends.
Since then, everything had been improving step by step.
They talked a lot, listened to each other, and understood each other better.
Not everything was perfect, but it was sincere.
One afternoon, Bruno suggested something different:
“This weekend I have something special for you.”
“Special...?” said Aster, curious.
“Yes. Just you and me. Wear comfortable clothes, nothing else.”
The outing
Bruno took him out of the city to a small field where there was almost no noise.
The sky was clear, and the sun was beginning to set.
There was a blanket, a basket of food, and a flashlight in case it got dark.
“What's all this?” asked Aster, smiling for the first time without nerves in weeks.
“Our farewell to fear,” replied Bruno, as he spread out the blanket.
I want this day to stay in your heart.
They spent hours talking about everything.
About what they loved to do as children, about their most secret dreams.
Aster confessed that she would like to study astronomy.
Bruno said he wanted to do something related to nature.
They also talked about how difficult it was to grow up feeling different.
And how, when they met, the world became a little less cold.
Aster looked up at the sky, now full of stars.
“You know, when I was younger, I thought that if I disappeared, no one would notice.”
“I would notice,” Bruno replied without hesitation.
“Now I know,” Aster said with a trembling voice. “Thank you for staying.”
Bruno took her hand.
“I always will.”
They moved closer slowly. This time without fear, without doubt. Only certainty.
They kissed gently, then more deeply.
Time stood still.
It wasn't just caresses. It was something more.
Aster's body trembled, but not with anxiety.
It was excitement.
It was desire.
It was trust.
Bruno looked at him tenderly.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes,” replied Aster, caressing his face. “I want to be with you. Completely.”
The night enveloped them in its cloak.
Between kisses, whispers, and ragged breaths, they gave themselves to each other with love.
It wasn't perfect, or like in the movies.
But it was real.
It was theirs.
Afterward, they lay embraced, covered by the blanket, gazing at the starry sky.
“Do you see it?” whispered Bruno. “This sky is just for us.”
“Yes...” replied Aster. “A sky where I am no longer afraid.”
To be continued...
