Emotionless Emotions of a Cyborg

As the hours passed, I finally made the blast's power go down to zero. Now, it barely made a dent in a pebble.

I also found out that I can scan things, whether they are alive or not, like this rock on the ground. Apparently, the rock has been on the ground for 3 hours, because it was from the large boulder I destroyed.

When I scan living things, like humans, animals, or plants, they show me their age, power level, powers, and everything else. Just by looking at them, I can find out everything about them.

“That’s enough training for now,” I said.

I flew back to the apartment and saw Yuki cooking dinner.

“Welcome back, Rei.”

“Yup, I’m back. How long was I out there?”

“I dunno, but May came back 10 minutes earlier than you, so you were probably out for six and a half hours, I guess. Where were you anyway?”

“I was at the park. Where’s May?”

“Upstairs in her room.”

I went upstairs and into May’s room to check up on what she was doing. I peeked inside and saw she was doing her homework.

Did Yuki really change that much? She usually doesn’t do her homework unless I tell her to do it.

“I know you’re here, big bro.”

“You have good eyes, May.”

“You bet I do. Yuki is just like Mom. She trained me to use my eyes like that.”

‘Yuki is just like mom’, that was what I said yesterday…

“Trained you?” Yuki was training May? Since when? And why does Yuki know how to use her eyes like that? Damn, I have many questions.

“Yeah, Yuki thought I might need it when I get older.”

“Alright then, well, continue doing your homework, May. Bye”

“Bye, big bro.”

“Dinner is ready, May, Rei!!” Yuki yelled downstairs. May instantly came out of her room and went downstairs, probably hungry as heck.

I went downstairs too and we ate, I pretended to like the food and smell again. And put up a fake smile.

“It's good, like yesterday's.”

I lied.

“I’m so glad you like it! I followed a tutorial on a video to make this delicious meal!” Yuki beamed with excitement when I said I liked the food. She looked so proud of her work, too bad my compliment is all just a lie.

After I finished my food, I went to my room to pretend to go to sleep, but in reality, I sneaked out of the apartment to go train at the mountain again. I trained for a long time, doing around 10,000 push-ups, running 1,000 miles, and other things.

Now, just because I became part robot, doesn’t mean I couldn’t get stronger the usual way everyone does. But since I'm about half-robot, physical training is slower.

When I got back to my apartment, it was already 4 o'clock. And I decided to see what power level Yuki and May were, for no reason; I just wanted to see how strong they were compared to me.

I climbed into my window and used my sensor eyes to scan their power levels.

May’s power level: 10

Yuki’s power level: 12

Huh, I thought Yuki's Power level would be higher. Well, whatever, not like I care.

I went back to my room and lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling for a long time until 8 o'clock.

Yuki woke up and called May to wake up. After a few minutes, May went to school.

Then Yuki came up to me and said, “I've always wondered… Why do you look like a girl?”

“Genes? I just naturally look like this.” I said, touching my face.

“But you also sound like one.” She said, crossing her arms.

“Well, I don't know.”

"You know, I think you would look better if you tied up your hair."

"I do not care about looks."

Then.

“Rei.” an eerie robotic tone talked in my mind, was it an A.I.? It sounded…way too eerie, so eerie I almost couldn’t understand it.

“Who’s there?” I looked around, but saw no one other than me and Yuki. Yuki looked at me weirdly. I wouldn’t blame her, but what was that voice?

"Who're you talkin’ to, Rei?”

“Nothing…”

What was that voice? It called out for my name.

“Sorry, Yuki, I need to go somewhere.”

“Um, okay, stay safe, Rei.”

Hello everyone again, long time no see, I guess? Well, episode 7 is here, at the same day as episode 6 (nice). Episode 8 might take a longer time, but I'll see what I can do.
