The Kairos office was an eclectic mix of order and chaos. Stacks and piles of tattered grimoires and unsealed scrolls littered the space in earnest; some on bookshelves, others on whatever surface they could find. Their knowledge decorated the room alongside pleasantries of tea trays and leather harnesses, comforts of intricate area rugs and sultry statues.

Shared by sisters *Enid and Ezra, Archivist and Ambassador respectively of the Tavern, it wasn't odd to find one or both of them tucked away during the off-season, keeping busy with anything from conducting interviews to practicing new techniques for clients - said tasks often being one and the same.

It's why Ezra was so irritated when she let herself get swept up in Buffy's unexpected visit, instead of being present for an interview with a potential new hire. Promising, by the rumors that led to their search.

A *Chimera, whose lineage, now tied to the royals of Solaris, were rare to find in the Fae Realm, let alone ones willing to reveal themselves. They were often ridiculed, or worse, personified, for their kin's sins. There were many in the Fae who refused to cooperate, or even coexist with Chimera, forcing most of the shapeshifters who chose to live there into a life of hiding to ensure they could live peacefully.

But recently, rumors had spread of one such Chimera who had not only managed to quell the shock in revealing themselves, but garner a supporting harem of sorts. A rare feat indeed. When the Tavern's regulars started asking about their connections, sending a scout became a matter of business.

Quick business.

The offer of a safe home to welcome pleasure-seeking guests is often too good to pass up. And for Kit, the Chimera in question, this was no exception. They'd shown up for the interview a few hours prior, the scout finding them in the nearby lodging of a local kiln, luring blacksmiths and bakers alike.

Penetrating the otherwise still space with the sound of arcane sizzling, a familiar branding of glyphs appeared on the office door, Ezra's rune allowing her entry from any doorway she could pass. Stepping in with a quick glance around, she sighed at the empty space, having been hoping to find her sister filling out paperwork for the new hire.

"Not up to par, then?" she speculated aloud, one shoulder slumping as she rolled her neck against the other, stress bundled in her nerves. "Oh well," Ezra sighed as she tiredly retreated to the large desk, hip slumping against its thick edge. "Can't blame us for being —"

The subtle sound of muffled whimpers sent a bolt of electricity through her. Honey eyes wide and glaring, Ezra whipped her body around, tail stiff and senses sharp.

"Enid?"

Having only sensed her sister's presence in the room, Ezra assumed she was in one of the back rooms, fussing over her tomes to distract her from the failed interview. But from that sound, she was close — and distressed.

No answer.

Just more ...gags?

Ezra's brows furrowed in frustration as she rounded the desk, panickedly hissing as her assumptions spiraled. But when she did, her foot caught something sticking out from beneath the desk — something big enough to catch her attention.

A ... knee?

The familiar skin tone registered in Ezra's mind, despite it being bound in what looked to be thick vines. Stifling a gasp, Ezra's hand reflexively hid her smirking smile when she took in the sight as a whole. Atop the droop of Enid's splayed skirt sat a short, hand-written note. On it, read a simple,

"The pleasure was mine. — Kit"

There Enid was, bound into a partially seated, partially kneeling position on the floor by an ensnarement of vines. Face flushed and asphyxiatingly wrapped, Enid's watery gaze was that of a bliss-stricken damsel, lost in a pleasure-filled fog.

"Breathplay and bondage? Cute, but ..." Ezra studied aloud, index caressing her chin as her free hand reached for the vines that covered Enid's nose and mouth. "Why do you look so —"

With the slight brush her fingertip, the magical vines burst into a soft light, rendering Enid free at last. With a deep, gasping wail, she lunged forward, panting moans filling the close space beneath the desk as she hurriedly went to move her cramped and awkwardly seated body.

Ezra jerked back in confusion as Enid scrambled to pull herself forward, her moans warping into nervous laughter and playful squeals. Tears streaked Enid's blushing cheeks as she fumbled onto the floor beside Ezra, curled into a mess of soft giggles and shivering moans as she clutched at her skirt and neck with twitching hands.

It was only then that she saw it. A tiny, closing portal on the floor just beneath where Enid had been sitting, and a pair of licked lips as they smirked out of view.

Smiling, Ezra scoffed in approval, looking over at Enid with an arched brow and a shake of her head.

"When can they start?"

*Chimera -- These are essentially shapeshifters in my world. They can morph their anatomy to match any sentient creature they've studied. The more familiar they are with the subject, the more liberties they have with their likeness. [i.e., from a closer matching voice to the channeling of known spells or abilities 😏]
