This comic was quite the journey to undertake, thank you to Tapas for providing the inspiration and opportunity to participate :D
I imagine the Doctor's air of rosemary and lavender is fimiliar due to her mother's illness, as plague Doctor's would often stuff their beaks with herbs, flowers and spices... he's depicted in white as a means to portray his kindness in what would otherwise signify the oncoming or the precede of death. To show his purpous was not to "guide" to the afterlife but to navigate his patient's(?) daughter to her specially crafted place of love.
