Chapter 3

Samuel had been in the void before, but the portal had controlled him from landing in it entirely.

“This world shall now burn!” HIM yelled,

“Not if I have anything to say about it.” Samuel said from behind him, he shot another blast of energy at the monster. HIM floated back into the darkness.

“You think you can defeat me!?” HIM yelled,

“Um, yes?” Samuel said back, HIM lunged at Samuel. Samuel instantly dodged, and shot another blast of energy. Doing a severe amount of damage to HIM. What was happening? His magic was stronger in the void, this is where it originated.

“Knight’s!” HIM yelled, he swung his hand in the air and created a hole. He smiled, “It worked. Now with my power fully restored from Marshlake, it can go to any realm I desire. Knight, you are about to be the one destroying the multiverse. This is your fault now!”

Samuel flew at him, and punched him into the new hole. Realizing what he’d just done he went in after him.

Where he ended up was much different from Marshlake or earth, it was barren and very dry. A red-sanded desert.

“The Demon Realm! I’ve been trying to get here for years! Marshlake has given me all the power I need! The whole multiverse is at my disposal!”

“No it isn’t!” Samuel ran around the monster, and pushed him back into the portal. Samuel shot him again.

“You don’t want me to destroy any realm do you?” HIM lunged at Samuel, and for some reason hurt really badly. “Why are all of you Knight’s the same? Save everywhere, save everything! Can’t you let me have a little fun!?” HIM tried to strike at Samuel again, but Samuel dodged and shot him in what he thought was his back. “You are the first Knight I’ve met who would actually fight dirty. I respect you for that, but you are still in my way. So if I must, I will kill you.”

“Sorry, I’m immortal. I don’t think that’s how it works.” Samuel said with a smile, “But if you want, you can try.” HIM smiled, and slapped Samuel across the face. Samuel got back in position, and went back after the monster. HIM looked surprised, and opened another hole. He went inside.

“What say you Knight? Traumatize this world instead?”

“I’d prefer no world, thank you.” Samuel grabbed some water from a lake, and cast water heal on himself. He faced HIM and slowed down time, he shot a void blast. Then he also shot a blast of energy. The void hit HIM fast, he was pulled into the portal he had made by dark tentacles. Samuel flew in after him, who was already in business trying to make another hole. For some reason though he was failing.

“My power is weakening.” Said HIM, HIM looked to the hole to Marshlake. “Too much void is in Marshlake, it must be stopped!”

Samuel stopped him in his tracks, “No you don’t.” HIM turned around and ripped another hole in the multiverse, he entered and saw New York!? His home! HIM had ripped a hole into earth, but it was unstable. All of them were too unstable.

HIM looked to Samuel, “Oh your precious home, it would be a shame if something happened to it.”

“It would also be a shame, if superheroes lived here.” Samuel looked down to see a bunch of the new superheroes that showed up running along the streets saving people. “Give up, you’ve lost. All realms you’ve broken into you’ve been unable to do anything to.”

“Because of you.” HIM muttered,

“Yes, because of me.” Samuel said back, he looked back down and saw all of the people. Heroes and civilians, people and animals. They all had the right to live in their dimensions, and this was Samuel's meaning. “I am Samuel Knight, and I am the protector of all the multiverse. You threaten, not the control but the chaos of the multiverse. The nature of the multiverse. I sentence you to life in dimensional captivity.”

HIM gasped, “You have no right!”

“I have more than the right, I have the duty of keeping the world in balance. You my friend threaten that. So if you would,” Samuel teleported HIM into the void, and looked back into the hole to look at HIM. “Bye.” Samuel directly shot a void blast into HIM’s chest, sending him deep within the void.
