In the slums for castaway folks, two men cross paths in a world where it's every man for himself. Cypher who appears to be a lowlife thief robs Ryuji, a strange, tall man who he has never seen in the slums before. Having been caught, the two came to an agreement, in return for not turning Cypher in, Ryuji has Cypher guide him to the Lake of Healing in the middle of the Elvian Forest.
As the story unfolds, their seemingly simple journey throws both into situations that force them to come clean about who they truly are.
