After months of consideration I got my first collapsible cane to use part time. These are just a few of the signs that led me to choosing to get a mobility aid. Honestly, I should have gotten it months ago, but taking the step to get your first mobility aid can be a hard decision. I felt like I wasn't in 'enough pain' to have earned one, or that people would think I was looking for attention, but ultimately it was a step I needed to take for my health and wellbeing. I'm still getting used to using my cane in public, but the times I've used it have made such a huge difference that I don't even know how I was just going around without it.
