“Tesla, slowly move this way, no sudden movements. Emerald if she moves in any way to hurt Tesla, take her down!” Alister said as the two continued to aim their weapons at Esdeath who stood behind Tesla. Tesla looked back at Esdeath then held up her hands shielding the woman behind her. The duo looked at their friend puzzled as to why she would protect the enemy with Tesla immediately noticing their puzzlement. “This lady here helped me save your life Alister, she's not after your head. She's been after Apollo's head for some time.” Tesla explained walking over and forcing their weapons down. Esdeath walked over, the voice modulator in her mask cracking as she explained that someone with more money had wanted the assassin codenamed Apollo dead, “As a hunter, I work for who offers me the most money and well the person who wanted Apollo gave more than the old bag that wants you.”

Esdeath looked over the railing but was unable to see the ground due to the clouds blocking their view. Tesla held up Apollo's broken helmet for Esdeath to take until she saw the hunter staring at Alister. “Though adding your bounty would let me retire early,” Esdeath joked but this caused Alister and Emerald to raise their weapons again. Esdeath held up her hands making a gesture that she was joking as she walked to Tesla to take the helmet. Emerald watched Alister pick up his broken mask as an idea sparked in her mind. 

Grabbing the broken mask, she held out the pieces to Esdeath saying, “Take this as proof that you “killed” the thief Azazel, but never show your face down here again. That's the condition I present to you!” Esdeath thought about this for a second and then nodded, taking the mask and putting it in a bag. As she began to leave she looked back at the trio standing on the balcony and smirked behind her mask saying, “By the way, I stole the face vibrator from your house, consider it collateral for damaging my armor.” Emerald looked over at Alisters blank face who just shrugged and muttered something about not needing it anymore. 

The trio began to drive away from the tower Alister on his bike, Tesla and Emerald in the car. “So, why didn't you tell him who Esdeath really is?” Tesla asked Emerald who let out a sigh. “It'll hurt him more than he already has. You and I both know that we've all been through a lot.” Emerald replied, staring off into the distance. Tesla dropped the subject knowing that what Emerald spoke was true. Alister's inability to show emotions, Tesla being riddled with nightmares as she sleeps, only being comforted with Alister there. Emerald's fear of never being able to solidify her smoke, the trio's troubles may seem far, but they were only just beginning. 

Off in the distance a woman wearing a clown mask watched the trio drive away. As they vanished on the horizon she drove her motorcycle, a large wheel with a seat and controls in the middle, down the garbage hill she was on to the side of the tower. “Ah my dear sweet Alister, they may have hurt you today but soon you'll join us in blissful laughter. The void beckons for you to join us, in the truth of insanity.” She said as she began to spray paint the side of the tower, once done she stepped back to admire her work. A clown face twisted in maniacal laughter as her laughter began to fill the air.
