CHAPTER THIRTEEN

    Amon charged forward alongside Elioth. The mysterious being showed no fear — instead, it rushed toward them with equal ferocity. Their weapons clashed with a deafening impact.

Elioth seized the creature by the leg, shouting over the chaos.

Elioth: “Now’s your chance! Cut it!”

Amon pulled his dagger from his pocket and aimed for the creature’s core, but in a flash, it twisted free from Elioth’s grasp.

Elioth: “What?! Impossible! How did it—”

Amon: “Aghhh!”

Elioth: “Look out!”

The being struck Amon’s pressure point with its staff. Pain shot through his body, and his limbs went limp — he was paralyzed.

Elioth (shouting): “Amon! What did you do to him?!”

The creature responded, but its voice was deep, layered, and completely alien to Elioth’s ears.

Mysterious Being: “Zvak skahtarvie bri stush.”

Elioth (confused): “What are you saying? Stop messing around and answer me!”

Mysterious Being: “Zvak skahtarvie bri stush.”

Elioth (angry): “Fine! If you won’t talk, I’ll beat the answers out of you!”

He unleashed his full strength, hurling trucks toward the enemy, but the being moved with a speed far beyond mortal limits — so fast it seemed like it hadn’t moved at all.

Elioth (thinking): It’s too fast… There’s got to be something I can—

Before he could finish his thought, the creature lifted Amon into the air, preparing to hurl him into a warped tear in reality.

Elioth: “Oh no! Get your hands off him!”

Elioth sprinted forward, twin rods in hand. He was about to drive them into the creature’s back when another figure — cloaked in black — suddenly appeared, landing silently behind him.

Mysterious Figure: “You’ve done enough.”

A dizzying wave hit Elioth as the figure tapped his shoulder.

Elioth: “Wha—ugh!”

He collapsed. The two beings exchanged words in their strange tongue.

Mysterious Being 1: “We’ve gathered enough.”

Mysterious Being 2: “What about this one? He could be useful to our Lord.”

Mysterious Being 1: “He has potential. Fine. Contact the others — the mission is complete. Let’s return with the ones we’ve captured.”

They hurled Amon and Elioth into the warped space. Across the city, other beings ceased their attacks and disappeared into the same twisted void, taking more captured children with them. All this happened as Sasuke, unaware, reversed causality with Escalibar.

Presently…

Sasuke returned to the devastated streets. Reports of destruction were flooding in from other countries and villages — chaos was everywhere.

Sasuke: “Hey, Berserker, take a look at what you did. This place is a total mess.”

He tied Berserker around his waist, carrying the unconscious Diane over his shoulder, and made his way toward headquarters.

Anti demon Headquarters

Security: “Agent Sasuke, the Commander wishes to see you.”

Sasuke: “Tell him I’ll see him soon. Let me handle this first.”

Security: “…Is that—?”

Sasuke: “Just do as I said.”

Security: “Yes, sir.”

Sasuke took Diane to the deepest chamber of the headquarters — a prison cell designed to nullify all magic and reflect it back at the user. Escaping was impossible.

Thirty minutes later, Diane stirred.

Diane: “What happened? Where—”

Sasuke: “Finally awake? Took you long enough.”

Diane: “Huh? Berserker… where am I? Where is he?”

Sasuke: “Right here. You’re in the deepest prison of headquarters. Try to escape, and your magic will rebound right back at you.”

Diane slipped into the shadows, attempting to escape — but her magic fizzled instantly, just as Sasuke said.

Diane: “Tch… What do you want with me?”

Sasuke only smirked.

Meanwhile…

Amon and Elioth awoke in an entirely different realm — a place unlike anything they had seen before. Elves, beastmen, wyverns, and other creatures from fairy tales roamed freely.

Amon: “Elioth… you alright?”

Elioth: “Sort of… Where are we?”

An elf approached them, speaking their language fluently.

Elf: “Welcome, humans from the lower dimension. You are in a world four layers above your own… and you have an important role to fulfill.”
