The light of Oz's sun illuminated the top floor as the elevator settled. Sitting on a throne made out of obsidian was Lord Emerald.

"Emerald, what are you doing! You could have cut me with shards of glass just because you wanted to be dramatic!" Eadaoin yelled dramatically.

"Once I win, I won't need to listen to you anymore!" Emerald laughed.

He created a small orb within his hand of black energy and launched it at Hypersonic speeds at Eadaoin, who immediately responded by disappearing into a flock of butterflies.

"Why am I not surprised that they left me with the crazy one..." Ensley sarcastically said.

Emerald immediately shattered the pillar that Ensley was sitting on. After hitting the floor, Ensley was covered in cuts due to the crystal. Emerald seemed to be able to control crystals almost perfectly. Maya tried to rush towards Ensley to help them, but before she could, Emerald created a massive hexagonal hole right underneath Ensley. Ensley couldn't even react or scream before they were thrown into the darkness below.

"Now I can kind of understand why they were trying to fire you. We are not going to let you continue to torture the people of Oz! Give up now or pay the price!" Lee yelled.

"You two think you can beat the Lord of the stars, the king of Ecplises me! Don't make me laugh!" Emerald said. 

Emerald stared, laughing crazily. His lips slowly morphed into a beak. Two sets of brid wings formed from his back. A tail like a snake grew from his lower back. A monster of feathers and scales stood before them. Teeth painfully erupted from the top and bottom beak. Maya nearly threw up from the sight of what Emerald became. Emerald lunged like a snapping turtle at Maya, but she was able to quickly dodge. Emerald got his beak stuck in one of the pillars, allowing Lee to hit him with a fire blast. Emerald shattered the pillar from the force of removing his beak. He flew high in the air before raining boulders of rock down like a landslide. This forced Maya and Lee on the defensive. Lee was barely able to create a psychic barrier to protect themselves. They watched as rocks hit the barrier, bouncing off and falling off the tower. Some rocks, though, remained on top of the tower. Emerald then began flying around them. Lee could not keep up the shield forever and so dropped it. They knew they needed to find a new opening, but did not know how quite yet. Emerald cowardly flew in circles around the tower, flapping his wings violently, causing his feathers, which had slowly turned to crystal, to launch straight at them. Maya was able to carefully dodge, but Lee was not getting hit in the shoulder by a shard of crystal. Maya became enraged and, without even thinking, sent a gust of wind towards Emerald. Caused the shards of crystal to fly straight back at Emerald, slightly damaging one set his wings. Using his uninsured set of wings, he jetted himself forward, swooping over the tower straight at Maya. Maya was smart, though, and she was actually standing in front of one of the last two remaining pillars of emerald. She immediately jumped out of the way, and once Emerald got his beak stuck in the pillar, Lee immediately hit Emerald with another fire blast. After removing his beak from the pillar, Emerald used his snake-like tail to destroy the remaining pillar, forcing the two to change their strategy. They especially needed to change their strategy sooner rather than later, as underneath them, the elevator-like platform began to shift and tilt from Emerald's weight. They realized that they actually had a lot of room on the floor itself, but they would need to find a way to carefully move over to the floor in a strategic position that could allow them to use their current situation to the best of their ability. For the plan they were going to execute, they needed to injure Emerald's other set of wings so when the elevator fell, he would fall down the shaft and succumb to the building's height. Maya decided to distract Emerald by running from him in a circle around the floor, allowing Lee to attack Emerald from the side. This allowed me to take out one of Emerald's wings when Emerald turned he's now bird-like neck and head to look at Lee. This allowed Maya to take out the wing on the other side. Using an air slash to completely cut off the wing. Now, all they needed to do was force the already unstable elevator to fall. Both of them stood on the floor as Lee stood near the edge, violently shoving his staff into the separate floor of the elevator. The sheer amount of magic viewed in the blow caused the elevator floor to slowly shatter, with Fishers of purple magic glimmering through as it shattered under the force of the combined weight of the impact and the emerald standing on it. Emerald tried to grab the rim of the newly created hole with his talents. Maya immediately stopped that by producing wind flashes to cause him to lose his grip. Emerald fell into the darkness below, disappearing. It was over; all they needed to do was find a way down from the tower.

Maya started looking for a way down. Well, she noticed the sky started to dim as something was obscuring the realm's sun. Oz does not have a moon. Unless Emerald used space magic to create one. Maya looked at Lee, and they both realized that the fight was not over as bird-like cackling came from the darkness in the pit below. A massive draft nearly knocked them off the tower as they launched out of the pit using his wings with Emerald. All of the damage they had done to feudal, as he completely restored his body using a crystal. Before they could even react, Emerald created something tiny in black between his two claws, creating a small black hole using Space Magic and placing it in the center of the room just above the pit. The boulders in the room from the earlier landslide started flying straight into the black hole. The good thing was that, because of the situation they were in, Emerald himself could not create a true, long-lasting, real black hole with Space Magic because that would have also sucked him up. They realized that they were going to have to hold on to something before the black hole collapsed and caused a mini explosion. Maya grabbed onto a bigger boulder near the edge of the tower and stuck her sword into it. Lee, who was still stuck on the other side of the room, instead stuck his staff into the edge of the tower, far from the pit. If he was not careful, he would fall from the tower into the burning city below or get sucked up by the magically created black hole. Both of them held on tight to their weapons as the black hole scene to suck up everything within its reach, including slowly shattering the edges of the floor next to the pit. It exploded, launching them both in the opposite direction, causing them both to nearly fall over the edges of the tower into the burning city below. Once Maya was able to stabilize herself, she instantly used her sword, which was also secretly a whip. Then used its whip function to launch the boulder it was stuck in at Emerald. Shattering one of his crystal wings. It completely reformed almost instantaneously, though. Waves of horror crossed both of their faces, realized they were not going to be able to defeat Emerald.
