There's something so refreshing about the concept of a spiritual successor group! Luckily for us, APL didn't try to revive the magical ponies theme. Unluckily for us, the name is still kind of cringe. Please workshop it a bit more next time. No more oh-so-clever references to the company!
The single itself is fine. You'll have heard this song a million times at the mall by now. The B-side is good too, it's got a retro, city pop vibe that I absolutely dig. But guys...Kang Minho's voice haunts my dreams. I am gobsmacked. Before Apollo's debut, there were all these rumours that he's the son of Kang Hana from Tri-Angels. Be that as it may, it in no way prepared me for how good his voice was. Holy heck! I really can't wait to see what else he does. To me, this is the group to watch in 2019.
