Chapter 12: The Inevitable Fall

"I had a simple life. I'd go to the office every day and work hard. After work, I'd rush home to play with my little girl. She'd stand at the door waiting for the sound of my bike. There wasn't a day she didn't wait for me.

I forgot all my desires and joys. My only job was to fulfill her wishes. I saved all the money I earned with hard work, hoping to spend it on her.

Her mother would have done the same."

Shekar: "Who is this? Who is speaking? Whose life am I seeing?"

"She was a very stubborn girl. She'd get stubborn for everything she wanted. No matter how stubborn she was, I wanted to give her what I could. And I did. But..."

Shekar: "But what? What happened? Who are you?"

With a snap, everything turned bright white. Shekar slowly opened his eyes. There was a wall a little far away, and only that part had light. Shekar slowly walked toward the light. When he reached the light, he looked to his right. It was all dark. He looked to his left. There was a chair in the distance. It looked just like the one he was made to sit on for the experiment.

Shekar saw that and remembered everything. He wanted to escape from there out of fear. He screamed for help. No matter how much he tried to run, wires came and grabbed him and made him sit on the chair.

Cuffs came from the chair and cuffed his hands and legs, but Shekar somehow managed to escape one hand from the cuff. When it was time to inject the medicine, he used his one free hand to pretend as if the wire had injected the medicine into the sponge on the chair. After the medicine was supposedly injected, the wires went back inside. The cuffs on the chair also opened. Shekar got up from the chair and ran to a distance. After everything went back to its normal position, he waited for a while to see if anything else would happen.

Silence...

Nothing happened.

Shekar got up and walked toward the exit door. As he took slow steps toward the door, his happiness grew. He was very happy. He started running toward the door. "I'm free! I'm free! I finally escaped! I'm running away from this pressure and these powers. My life might not be how I wanted it to be, but it will be peaceful," he thought.

Suddenly, Shekar fell down with a thud. "What happened? Why did I fall?" Shekar looked back as he thought that. A wire had wrapped around his leg.

Shekar: "No, please, please let me go. I don't want this life, please."

The wires grabbed his hands too.

Shekar kept pleading without stopping. "Please let me go. I'm of no use to you. You'll regret this later, please."

The first injection wire came to Shekar's back and injected medicine.

Shekar's life that he was losing flashed in his mind.

Memories with his mother flashed.

Shekar: "Please...! Let me go..." his voice became low.

Memories with his father flashed. He remembered the good moments he spent with his parents.

The wires around his hand became a little loose. He fell to the ground. Shekar blinked his eyes. He lifted his right hand and tried to crawl forward. He was still a little conscious. With that consciousness, he crawled forward with one hand and then the other. Shekar was moving forward with the determination to escape from MEDS. Another wire injected medicine.

Shekar: "Meera..." All the good memories with Meera flashed. He wanted to escape from there somehow and live a normal life with his family and Meera.

He stopped moving forward. They injected another medicine, and then another. After 6 injections were injected into his back, he didn't have the strength to fight and move forward. He did everything he could. The sadness of losing was visible in his eyes. His sadness and anger came out in the form of tears. He couldn't bear it and closed his eyes. He slowly lost his consciousness.

There was no movement in his body. Shekar wasn't moving. He was lying there like a lifeless, dead person.

Will he get up?

Will he get his normal life back again?

Suddenly, Shekar opened his eyes. He didn't have black dots. His eyes showed that someone was in control of him.

Shekar got up. The injected wires were still attached to his body. He stood up in the same state.

He looked at the walls next to him and immediately started destroying them. Shekar had enough strength to destroy anything. That's why he easily destroyed the walls around him with just his bare hands. He saw the chair in the distance. He destroyed that chair and the monitor and machine in front of it as well.

As he destroyed the walls, he saw other people who were experimented on like him. Shekar destroyed all the labs. One after another.

He destroyed the room, the corridor, the chair—the whole MEDS lab—with his powers, simply with his bare hands. His body was not in his control. That's why he was destroying everything and throwing them away.

In the distance, Naveen and Raghav were watching. And the people who supported MEDS were also there.

Raghav asked, "Does one person have so much strength? Wow," with an evil smile.

Naveen: "I'll sit here and watch. He's doing everything that needs to be done."

Raghav: "I'll join him too."

Naveen: "The headless person will be very happy to see all this."

Raghav: "Destroy...! Hahaha (evil smile) Destroy everything."

Naveen: "This is more fun." And with that, Naveen's body came out with wires, just like in MEDS, because he created MEDS. So he used the wires that came from his body to inject people and turn them into his slaves who would listen to him.

Raghav: "Everything was a setup for him to become this."

Shekar was also attacking Naveen and Raghav, but they were easily escaping.

Naveen: "I think the dosage given to him is not enough. He's not getting controlled." And he again used the wires that came from his body to inject him with medicine and bring him under his control.

They all thought Shekar was completely under their control.

People were dying. Shekar was killing everyone and destroying everything according to the orders given to him.

Police and army came to save the people and stop them. Everyone was firing. But Shekar's body was not getting affected by the bullets. Naveen used the wires to escape from the bullets, and Raghav also used his drilling hands to escape. Many people were dying. There were normal people and MEDS people among them.

Before Shekar could do anything to the police, Naveen told him to stop. As soon as Naveen said, "You're not the one to kill them," all the jeeps, vans, and tanks were flying and getting crushed.

Everyone was shocked at what was happening, and the headless person was flying in the air above them. As he came to the ground and just walked, all the vehicles were blasting, and humans were also blasting.

Raghav and all the goons were saying, "Oh, goosebumps. Can anyone compete with this kind of power?"

The headless person was destroying everything without even touching it.

No one could fight and win against such a powerful person.

Raghav and many goons all joined the headless person. They all attacked the police, killed innocent people, and destroyed everything. The whole place had turned into a chaotic mess.

Shekar was also watching the headless person. He was looking at him with shock and anger.

Shekar: "I will kill him."

Naveen looked at Shekar and laughed. "Do you think killing the headless guy is that easy?"

What is Shekar going to do? Wait and see.
