Chapter 15: The Alternate Ending

A few days passed. People started moving on with their lives. This time, in the same place where the big war happened, everything was very normal, and everyone was busy with their work. Shekar and Meera were also sitting on the footpath by the road and talking. They were discussing the results of Shekar's physical test.

Shekar was hiding it from Meera. Meera was teasing Shekar, telling him to tell her.

Shekar and Meera were here. Karan and Yamuna were at home.

Karan: "No, my girl. You have a fever."

Yamuna: "Papa, Papa! Exhibition! You promised. Exhibition! Please, please."

Karan: "Not now, my girl. Listen to me."

Raghav was very tense. He was tense about his daughter's condition. His daughter was in the ICU. She was on the verge of death. As nurses and doctors were walking in front of Raghav, he called a doctor he knew and stopped him.

Raghav: "Doctor, my daughter. How is she now? She's fine, right?"

Doctor: "The treatment is still going on. We can't say anything yet. Don't worry, just wait."

Even after the doctor said that, Raghav's tension didn't go down. He was still tense.

In a secret lab, Naveen was experimenting on a person. He was mixing the chemicals needed for the experiment. The body on which the experiment was being done was not fully conscious. But he wasn't dead either. He was in a daze.

The experiment on the body hadn't started yet. He was only mixing the chemicals.

Naveen mixed the chemical. He put it in an injection cylinder and kept it ready.

Naveen: "This will decide my future. Everyone will appreciate me because of this experiment. This one chemical formula has to work."

With that belief, he injected it.

Silence for a while...

There were no changes in the body.

Suddenly, the heart rate rose. The body on which the experiment was being done started to shake. Oxygen levels were fluctuating. Naveen didn't understand. "Please work, please, please work. Come on. Fingers crossed, please."

Naveen became more nervous. He kept praying for the experiment to pass.

The body's pulse slowly dropped.

Naveen: "No, no, no, please no."

It dropped even more drastically.

Naveen: "Wake up, please."

Heartbeat machine: tiiii..........

There was no pulse in the body.

The experiment failed.

Naveen was filled with disappointment and the sadness of losing.

Police came into his secret lab. They arrested Naveen for conducting illegal experiments.

Meera snatched Shekar's paper. She opened it and saw that there was no MEDS sign on it. And Shekar had failed the physical test.

Yamuna: "Papa, please, Papa. You promised. This one time, please."

Karan smiled at Yamuna. "Okay. But you have to take your tablets."

Yamuna: "Hmm. I'll take them after we go. Please."

Karan: "No, right now."

Yamuna: "Papa."

Karan: "My girl, please."

Yamuna: "Hmm, okay."

Karan: "Good girl."

Raghav was still tense about his daughter.

Doctor: "Raghav, your daughter is still weak. But she's recovering. Even though she's not fully healthy now, if she gets some good healthcare, she will recover well."

Shekar: "I tried so hard, but I couldn't."

Shekar: "But Dad won't accept it, right?"

Meera: "I'll make him accept it."
