The next morning, Symone opens his eyes first, not noticing Vek for now. The green elf observes around him for a few seconds, the bedroom is immersed in a soft light coming from the dirty window, he takes some time to properly sit up. Then he looks right next to him and finally sees Vek. Symone's eyes automatically go on the demon's chest, admiring his tattoos which might be royal ones as he remembers the conversation they had the night before. Symone is looking at it for several seconds, trying to get what it means before getting up but since he knows absolutely nothing about demons, he can't know the meaning of those beautiful drawings.

Then the half-elf gets up and searches in the closets and the drawers in hope of finding new clothes. By chance and weirdly, he finds a white shirt with simple brown pants and even more clothes in this room, those are maybe some clothes that someone forgot. The elf changes, while doing that Vek wakes up and directly opens his eyes on Symone's naked back. Vek is pleasantly surprised by this view and looks away right after letting his eyes go down on Symone's butt, to let him some privacy.

The rest of the day continues, so they're leaving the inn and heading to the dock, taking a really quick breakfast before that. Previously, Vek changed his outfit as well, he only found some dark clothes that fit him perfectly, so he'll keep it for now. They walk next to each other until arriving at the dock, in front of many ships, Amber recognizes Vek from afar, so he approaches and greets them.

After a few minutes talking together about pirate things, they all hop on a galleon named "The Lacy", which is the captain's wife's name. This is Symone's first time hopping on a boat, he hopes to not have seasickness. Concerning Vek, no one knows if he has already been on a boat before, he feels pretty comfortable and confident when walking on that galleon.

Symone, who's now on the galleon, curiously observes the surroundings, everyone on this boat is preparing for the incoming journey. In this entire crew, there's a lot of different creatures, such as small fauns, big minotaur, 'basics' humans as well as fairies and even more magnificent creatures.

The captain, who is called "Captain Treasure Stealer" but whose real name is Gwenchlan, suddenly yells to get everyone's attention. She explains to the crew from behind the helm of the ship that they are all going treasure hunting on an island located in the Sea of the Three. Right after yelling, she steps to direct that boat but Vek, from a really observing eye, notices that she looks pretty nervous. She is maybe simply scared to lose some crew members because of the incoming adventure.

Symone is really happy and excited about this new adventure, he can't stop putting a big smile on his own face. Vek too is really happy to go away from the continent but he knows really well how the pirate's life is like and he knows as well that they'll be back. The demon knows that the living conditions of a pirate are horrible, that the food is never abundant onboard and that the lifespan of a pirate is not really long. So he is nevertheless a bit worried, more for his new friend than for himself. Indeed he is not afraid to die like that at all, because he simply can't, the only way for a demon to die in this universe is to be killed by another demon or to not find a soulmate before attaining 30 years old.

Of course both of the people in this relationship have to truly love their partner. So Vek isn't really scared about death, he is waiting to die from one of these methods. Life hasn't been kind to him since he escaped the castle when he was 15 years old, it has been now a decade.

They finally all start this adventure, the big boat is carrying around a hundred people, no need to know them all, most of them won't come back from this adventure alive. Orders are given to the two new crew members, they become pirates after only a few minutes of navigation.

Vek perfectly executes orders in silence, whereas Symone has difficulties doing things correctly, he needs some time to adapt to his brand new life. Amber notices that the green elf is struggling a bit, so he immediately goes to help him and to explain things in detail. This pirate seems to naturally want to help other people as much as he can. The demon is carefully looking at both of them, making sure the blond pirate doesn't hurt or do something wrong to the new pirate.

After a few more long hours of navigation, the galleon is now somewhere in the middle of the Sea of the Three, which is situated at the East of the Kingdom of Ahulia. Those waters are known for the abundant creatures living in it. There's not enough wind to move the heavy ship, which is not convenient to navigate. Some waves mysteriously form around the boat, then a random pirate says, looking at the moving water :

-"I think we have a tiny liiiiittle problem..."

Right after this pirate said that, a huge shark comes out of the water and jumps over the galleon, damaging the biggest mast and spreading a lot of water on the ship. Out of fear and reflexively, the pirate who just warned the other ones steps back, in order to get ready to help the other ones facing this terrifying creature.

Symone is panicking as well but he is also excited at the same time because he'll finally go on some new adventures, doing things he never did before. Because of these mixed feelings he doesn't know what to do, where to go, while Vek is calm and waiting for instructions. No one knows if he already saw a creature like that or if he is extremely good at controlling his own emotions.

Right after this first attack, Gwenchlan yells again, trying to keep the boat's balance on the Sea of the Three's moving waters :

-"Prepare the cannons and rifles ! Today we're gonna eat megalodon !"

The pirates on the galleon exclaim in joy, everyone but Symone and Vek, who feel a bit lost. But Vek quickly follows the orders given, observing other pirates to do the same as them, Symone closely follows him. They both take cannonballs to put it in the cannons, following the experienced pirate's actions. They are all preparing dozens of cannons, waiting for the megalodon to be back, it comes back pretty quickly. This time it has its mouth widely open, going straight for the port side of the vessel.

The captain orders the pirates to fire, everyone does so and a dozen cannonballs are directly shot at the marine creature, some of the balls miss the target but not that many. The big shark still rushes off the boat and crushes the port side of the boat's hull, causing a lot of damage to the boat.

-"Come and help me !"

One of the pirates starts to yell at Symone, so the green elf starts to follow that pirate, thus they go into the hold of the boat. The pirate orders him to go and take some planks to temporarily repair the damages caused by the megalodon, of course planks just randomly nailed in the hull won't help it to not sink, it will only make it slower.

Entering in the hold, Symone is blinded because his eyes were exposed to the sunlight for a long time, so he has to wait a few seconds for his eyes to see back normally and to help the pirate. The one who called him has an eyepatch, not to hide an infected or non-existent eye but to quickly get used to the changes between the dark and the light of the boat. Indeed, the pirate just has to change the eyepatch from one eye to another.

For his part, Vek is still on the deck of the ship, holding a freshly loaded rifle, waiting for the megalodon to come back. The big shark instantly turns around and comes back in the galleon's direction but this time, it is injured because of all the cannonballs, the beast is suffering and bleeding. It is almost dead but still has enough energy to come back to fight.

Seeing that the megalodon is getting closer, the demon doesn't hesitate to shoot it multiple times. Vek is normally really calm and against any kind of violence but not this time. He feels like he has to kill this beautiful creature because a lot of people are in danger on this ship. Including his new friend Symone, which is still in the hold and Vek acknowledges it, he strangely wants to protect his new friend more than anyone else.

But Vek sees that shooting the shark isn't helping and it is coming closer and eventually ends up rushing once more to the hull, this time on the starboard side. Some screams coming from the hold are resonating to Vek's ears who knows that his friend is still down there so he immediately worries and is taken by a great rage. He obviously doesn't want his friend to die so early in the adventure, so he decides to jump outside of the boat directly on the shark's back, he is now barehanded with his fists as his only weapons.

Without losing any more time, he plants his demon claws in the shark's flesh and injects venom in it. Indeed, in this universe demons are venomous so they can use venom but only in a really limited way. Doing what he just did took away from him a lot of energy, so demons can't always use this part of them.

After killing this big shark, Vek is still in the water but doesn't have much energy left to go back to the boat, so he simply lets himself sink. But after only a few seconds sinking, a mysterious merman, who seems to have been following the boat since the beginning, comes to save the demon. He just throws the demon onboard taking advantage of a big wave created by the dying giant shark then the mercreature just swims away as fast as he can. As if he didn't want to be seen by the pirates, which is really understandable because there's a conflict between pirates and merpeople, indeed a long time ago merpeople used to hunt and eat pirates.
