On the morning of the next day, some hours before the execution, in a lousy jail, Vek is sitting on the dirty floor, desperate. He has been in this condition for something like three days or even more, just sitting in this empty and dirty room, with no food and no water. So he is in really bad shape.

Suddenly, the king himself is coming to this jail to visit his next victim. His majesty is right in front of the jail's door, looking like a normal elf to his guards and servants but looking like a demon, his normal shape, to Vek.

Indeed the perception filter isn't working on him because he is a demon, so it puts the king in danger if some day Vek wants to tell everyone about who really is the king, that's why the king wants to eliminate the other demon.

The king orders his guards to open the door by a really simple gesture of the hand so he can get in the small jail to be closer to the demon. The one wearing extremely expensive clothes and jewellery talks :

-"Well here you are. Demon. I can see that you are not rotting that much here, that's too bad... I wanted you half dead before the execution, so it can be easier to kill you.."

The other demon slightly laughs, still having his head down and being chained with really solid chains :

-"Eheheh... Maybe someday you'll stop lying about yourself. You fucking demon !" He gets his head up to look at the older demon in front of him directly in the eyes.

Two guards are standing right next to the door, on the outside of the cell, getting ready, weapon in hands, in case Vek would attack the king despite being chained up. The one chained up keeps yelling :

-"You are ruining everyone's life in this kingdom ! You don't care about people ! You just want to be rich and to control everyone ! You are even trying to kill me, your son ! Just because you don't want your secret to be spread all over the land ! You deserve to just... DIE !"

The king is slightly panicking after hearing this because indeed, everything Vek says is true. But since the king spent his whole king's life to make everyone hate demons for some mysterious reason.

Because of the panic, the king orders his guards to knock the demon down, the two of the guards seem really happy to knock an innocent person down. Before the guards enter the cell, the king goes out of this jail to go back to the castle and correctly prepare the execution day which is coming pretty soon.

While the afternoon is slowly coming, Gwenchlan is reviewing in detail the plan to rescue Vek with the whole crew. But Symone is still panicked, he knows they are really close to their target but he also knows that Vek can die at any moment now. For now he can't control his stress level, the one he 'likes as a friend' is in great danger and will die for sure if their plan fails.

They all walk through the third gate of the castle, by the way they luckily succeed to enter despite being a group of pirates. Indeed today is an execution day, so anyone but still not demons can enter the third courtyard, the one where executions take place.

Now that they are all in this courtyard, everyone is staring and judging the group of stinky pirates. The place has mostly rich elves in it so of course, Symone and his new friends don't really seem discreet.

The hour of the execution finally arrives but Vek and the king aren't there. Symone wonders where they might be, it is the first time for him to see some executions. The first victim to be killed is, from what the crowd is saying, a thieve, one of the elves in the crowd yells before the guilty one gets killed :

-"They stole some of my money ! Look at this lousy piece of shit. They don't deserve to live in this city, I hate poor people !"

Then this poor person is getting decapitated by a royally decorated guillotine. Symone is traumatised by what he just saw, a head getting separated from a body while the person is still alive. So he worries even more about seeing Vek being killed right in front of him if the plan isn't working. This execution lasted for a few minutes, now the one in charge of killing the victims is cleaning the place with their colleagues.

They are now preparing some weird weapons, certainly demonic weapons all decorated with white and gold, to represent the king. Seeing this the whole crowd stops talking, only whispers are heard, ready to greet the highest placed person of this kingdom.

Symone sees a demon entering the place, it is not Vek but he kind of looks like him, the elf finds it weird to see a demon in here when they are all supposed to be rejected by the king. Then a voice announces at the exact same moment as this demon enters the place :

-"Greet your king, people ! He is saving you from the demons of this land !"

Then the elf finally understands that this demon is the actual king but no one around is reacting other than cheering him up, so to be sure, Symone asks Amber :

-"Who's that ?"

-"That white haired elf is the king."

-"White hair ?" repeats Symone looking at the king once more.

In fact, from the elf's point of view, he is seeing a demon with black hair, one broken horn and two stains of vitiligo on the left side of his face.

Then Symone keeps talking :

-"Wait, but he's a ..." then he suddenly stops after remembering what he saw in the book. So the perception filter thing is real and Symone actually has a special link with Vek but the elf still refuses to accept that.

The voice continues announcing :

-"Now let's humiliate the demon who entered this kingdom ! Come on stage, bastard !"

After that, Vek, all chained up, enters the place. From Symone's point of view his demon friend seems strangely really healthy but Amber quickly says, right after seeing the demon :

-"Owh... your boyfriend seems in really bad shape."

-"What ?"

-"Well, look, he is all covered in blood, bruises and dust."

Symone doesn't trust the blond pirate, this is the exact opposite of what he is seeing right now. A vague thought comes to his mind, maybe Vek is using his power of perception filter only on Symone but why would he do such a thing ? The elf isn't really thinking the demon could do that to him.

The king is now ready to kill Vek with some special weapons, the one used to kill a demon and that can only be used by demons, of course. Symone panics even more, so he walks to Gwenchlan and whispers to her :

-"I'm not sure I can do that. What if the plan is not right, what if Vek dies, what if we all die trying to save him ?"

The captain looks at the green elf, taking his shoulders and motivating him despite their height difference :

-"Stop saying stupid things. We will save your friend. I never let a pirate of my crew down. We work together until we die, understand ?"

Symone simply nods and goes back to his spot, waiting for the right time to save his friend despite him still not being really confident about what is going to happen.

The king, who looks like a really rich elf to everyone but Symone, is slowly approaching Vek with one of those demonic weapons. It seems like he wants to kill the demon slowly to make him suffer even more than what he endured during those few days trapped in jail.

As the king walks to Vek, he as a slight smile while holding one of the weapons, as if he has been waiting for a long time before this moment, which is true. He indeed has been waiting for at least a decade before this moment.

Symone is looking around, waiting for a signal to do his part of the job, which means taking back Vek to the ship when the king will be unconscious. The whole crew chose Symone to bring Vek back since they seem to be already close and because the green elf assured the captain that the demon won't trust anyone else than Symone.

Gwenchlan's plan is starting from now, some of the pirates approach the guards surrounding the place and start talking to them in order to distract them so the plan can work as planned. Now that the guards of the place where the execution takes place are distracted, Amber discreetly goes near the stage where the king is already slowly killing the other demon, cutting him on the throat.

The green elf suddenly can see that Vek seems extremely weak, indeed Symone remembers reading something else about the perception filter, "it will fade away if the demon practising this perception filter thing is weak, or about to die". The elf tries to not panic even more but it's pretty hard for him, so he tries to wait for his turn patiently.

Now, for the next part of the plan, the whole crowd needs to be distracted as well for Amber to knock off the king. So Gwenchlan just yells in a moment of silence, trying to swear, as it was planned :

-"Yeah, come on ! Kill that fudging demon !"

It actually works ! Everyone's attention is now turned on her, everyone is staring at her only for a short amount of time before exclaiming in joy. So Amber and Symone need to be as fast as they can.

While Vek is losing even more blood, Amber rushes on the stage, followed by Symone who is not really comfortable in this situation. Amber runs to the king and just gives him a big punch in the face, hoping he'll be unconscious, which weirdly works despite the blond pirate not being that strong.

So now Symone runs towards Vek and grabs him, still chained up, before running away from this huge place, the green elf is followed by Amber. They both hide in a small street, waiting for the other ones, Symone stares at the really weak, unconscious and almost dying Vek and puts one of his hands on the demon's cheek to wipe some of the demon's blood.

Amber observes them and mutters, to not get anyone's attention from outside of this small street :

-"Oh~ you guys are so cute."

Symone looks at the blond pirate, putting away his hand and angrily mutters :

-"He is dying, this is NOT cute."

After a few more minutes of waiting, Gwenchlan finally finds them and signs them from afar to quickly go back to the boat.

Right after knocking out the king, his majesty is now laying down on the ground. And now that he has been weakened by Amber's fist, his power of perception filter starts to fade away as well.

All the elves in this place are slowly discovering another demon and at first everyone is confused, no one know what to think but most of them are just in denial about their king being a real demon. Before the king entirely loses his perception filter powers, one of the guards notices that his majesty is on the floor and that the demon isn't here anymore. He immediately thinks that the demon escaped by himself. After taking the king back inside a car pulled by two extremely white horses.

The guard, who is in fact Cleyton finally notices that he brought back a demon, so he yells, ready to fight against an unconscious demon :

-"Aaaah ! What ?! A demon ? Where is the king ? Tell me ! Evil creature !!"

While the car is being pulled, Cleyton finally notices as well that this demon is wearing the king's clothes and the king's jewellery. But he still needs a few more seconds before realising that this demon is the actual king.

After being threatened by the guard, the king slowly opens his eyes to see that the one supposed to protect him is actually pressing a knife against his throat. The king talks softly :

-"What are you doing ?..."

-"Um, well. You tried to kill that demon but he escaped and he turned you into one of his own... I think." Cleyton explains the situation while holding the knife at the same place as before and arching an eyebrow at the very last part of what he said, to show that he is unsure about what he is talking about.

The king whispers some swear words while rolling his eyes before saying :

-"What, am I a demon now ?" Wanting to check if his perception filter thing is still working.

The guard nods agreeing on what his majesty just said, then the demon gets angry when he realises that Vek is gone :

-"Shit ! It is impossible for this bastard to escape by himself ! Someone helped him and you need to find out who did that !"

The guard is now taking off the weapon from the king's throat after noticing he was still in this position, then he exclaims :

-"Me ? Why me ?"

-"Not only you, idiot. All of the guards. And I'm the king, I'm not supposed to be looking for fugitives !"
