Yuki handcuffed the mysterious man and put him in the car. I’m not easily scared, but that guy… he gave me chills. He didn’t seem human. And that black goo… it intrigued me too. What is that? But I don’t have time to think about it now.
Yuki thanked the butler and we got in the car. We were still a bit shaken. The man, in the back seat, was humming and nodding his head like he was dancing. A strange dance, without music. Yuki looked at him and began to pray. I said:
— You’re not usually the scared type.
— Shut up, old man. I still have to keep up the tough-girl act, okay?
I turned to the man and asked:
— Look, suspicious man… what’s your name?
The mysterious man just looked at me and smiled.
— I don’t like you.
He curled up like a frightened child. And that was bizarre. The guy had a beard and acted like a child. Does he have mental issues?
Yuki started driving. I looked at the man again and, this time, spoke in a childish tone, trying to get something out of him:
— Uncle won’t hurt you, nor auntie. We just want to talk.
Yuki gave me a strange look. It seemed I had lost my mind.
— Drive, Yuki. Let the professional handle this — I said.
She immediately focused back on the road. I looked at the mysterious man again and said:
— So… uncle wants to know what you were doing in that mansion.
— I was wandering around, looking for my doll — he said, laughing.
His laugh was strange, almost childish, but with something… corrupted. This guy was going to be my new trauma, I already knew. But at the same time, something about him intrigued me.
We arrived at the police station. Everyone who saw the mysterious man’s face was shocked. No one had ever seen someone with that black goo running down their face. I didn’t blame them.
