Aria sat on the edge of the bed, watching as Leo fumbled through the first-aid kit. His brows were furrowed in concentration, his bottom lip caught lightly between his teeth.

"You really don’t have to fuss so much," Aria said softly, half embarrassed, half amused.

Leo looked up immediately.

"Of course I do. I scared you. You could’ve been really hurt," he said, his voice thick with guilt.

He found the ointment and dabbed it gently onto the burn on her hand, careful not to hurt her. His touch was feather-light, and for a moment, Aria forgot about the pain completely.

"You're... really kind," she murmured without thinking.

Leo chuckled, a little sheepishly.

"I just don’t like seeing people hurt. Especially because of me."

Aria smiled, a small, genuine smile she hadn’t worn in days.

As Leo wrapped a clean bandage around her hand, the door creaked open.

Riven leaned casually against the frame, arms crossed, his expression unreadable.

"Took you long enough," he said, voice low and cool.

Leo looked over his shoulder, smiling easily.

"Don’t be dramatic, Riven. It’s just a minor burn."

Riven’s eyes flicked to Aria — at the bandage, at how close they sat, at the way she laughed softly at Leo's words.

It made something sharp twist in his chest.

"Some people should be more careful," 

Riven said, his gaze holding Aria's for a little too long.

Aria blinked, sensing the unspoken edge in his voice.

But before she could reply, Leo stood up, stretching.

"It’s all good now. Right, Aria?" he said,

 offering her a hand to help her up.

She hesitated — just a moment — then took it.

And for the first time since yesterday, Riven realized something.

He had noticed her.

And worse... he couldn't seem to stop.
