After the villager gave them some information about where the material they need is, they are walking through forests under a really bright sun. Yao Qiu isn't really used to walking that much despite him being really sporty. He is indeed a bit exhausted, walking a bit farther behind Lang Xinya because of the tiredness.

The demon hunter turns around, stops walking and looks at the struggling demon master. He asks, kind of worried :

-"Do you need help to walk ? We only walked for 3 hours and you seem exhausted already."

For now, Yao Qiu doesn't answer, he just sits on the floor and signs to the other one that he wants to rest for a bit. Lang Xinya looks around then walks to the demon master, arriving at his level he looks around, hesitant, then he extends one of his hand to Yao Qiu. He hesitates a bit :

-"I can.. Carry you."

The demon master shakes his head from left to right, showing that his answer is negative while slowly catching his breath. The latter is comfortably sitting in the half grass, half rocky forest floor, in the shadow of a pine tree so it is a fresh place. He doesn't want to move away right now. Lang Xinya understands that, so he says :

-"Ok. We can rest for a bit."

Then he simply sits right next to the one wearing a white and dirty hanfu, he points out :

-"Are you still wearing the same outfit as when we met ? Why aren't you changing it ?"

-"Oh, it's just that I erm... I don't have any other good looking clothes." He doesn't look at Lang Xinya's face while talking.

-"You can borrow mine !"

Yao Qiu suddenly turns his head to look at Lang Xinya, his eyes widen then he looks at the demon hunter's clothes. Thinking the demon hunter is going to take off his clothes right now so he slightly panics. First the pat on the cheek this morning and now taking his clothes off ? It seems really weird.

Lang Xinya notices the panic in Yao Qiu's eyes, so he quickly reassures him :

-"No, not now ! I mean later, after we finish this quest, I'll give you other clothes." He kindly smiles and softly laughs.

After a few more minutes resting, Yao Qiu finally gets up, deciding that he finally rested enough to keep doing their quest. They walk for two more hours.

The two men finally arrive close to a barn still in the middle of the forest, it is really calm. A bit too calm. As a reaction to this weird silence, Lang Xinya frowns his eyebrows and holds his sword while approaching the building. The doors of the barn are wide open, despite the sun being high and bright in the cloudless sky, the inside of the barn is so dark that no one can see the inside of it.

While Lang Xinya is slowly walking in the building to make sure no danger is here, Yao Qiu walks around to see if the items they are looking for are around the place. He walks for a bit until he finds a small pond since he saw no items around the barn and thinks the items might be inside of it.

He decides to get closer to the water and takes a look at it, he observes his own face and takes off the piece of cloth he warped around his forehead to hide the red demonic tattoos. He looks at them from a bit closer, trying to understand what it means and if it is linked to the strange light coming from his hands.

On Lang Xinya's side, he is now inside the barn, not wondering about where Yao Qiu went for now. The demon hunter carefully walks inside the barn. Since he can't see that much inside the dark pitch building, he decides to use some of his golden magic to light up the place a bit.

As the demon hunter walks inside of it, he can see a lot of material here, it is indeed the material they need to finish repairing the house. He naturally gets closer to it in order to take it out, but as he touches one of the planks a beast suddenly jumps on him, attacking him.

Lang Xinya is directly projected on the dusty dirt floor, he slightly growls of pain, he quickly gets up and firmly holds his sword to strike back. The demon hunter rushes to the thing that attacked him, without even taking time to analyse what this creature is. Arriving at it, Lang Xinya violently stabs the thing at the abdomen but it isn't enough to eliminate it.

The human takes advantage of the painful stab he inflicted to the beast to walk a few steps away to see more clearly what the creature is, he realises it is a demon that looks similar to the one he fought when he first met Yao Qiu.

After taking a few really short seconds to fully stand up, the demonic creature is now running straight to Lang Xinya, the latter is ready to stop the demon's attack. It violently rushes again to the human and manages to slightly damage one of his cheekbones. Nothing really hurtful, to be honest.

Lang Xinya doesn't take time to think, he directly aims at the throat and, with a simple slash with his sword’s sharp blade, he beheads the demon. It finally dies. The combat wasn't hard at all, it was even way easier than the demon he killed a few times ago.

After this short fight, the demon hunter sits on the floor, close to the main door of the barn. He is now resting a bit from the surprise attack he just experimented.

He is now taking some time to think about what just happened. He silently thinks :

-"How is it possible that this demon was almost the same as the one I killed when I first saw Yao Qiu ?"

This time Lang Xinya didn't call Yao Qiu as "the random guy" but with his full name but it has no importance for now. Then a thought immediately comes to his mind :

-"Maybe Yao Qiu is the one who attracts the demons ? But why would demons kill a random guy ? Oh... Right, demons are just bloodthirsty creatures."

He thinks that, completely forgetting that he knows about Yao Qiu being related to demonism.

Back on Yao Qiu’s side, he is now completely naked inside of the pound he spotted a bit earlier. He felt so dirty that he wanted to clean himself up right now. Same for his clothes, it was so dirty that it needed a complete handwash, the demon master’s white hanfu is already drying on a branch under the warm sun.

Yao Qiu's light skin is covered with gorgeous red demonic tattoos and with water drops, shining under the sun's rays going through the pine branches. Yao Qiu's hair is all wet as well, by the way he has untied them, so it shows how long they are.

This scene feels unreal because of its ethereal beauty and calm, as opposite of what happened to Lang Xinya.

After a few more seconds bathing, Yao Qiu realises he has been sent here with a precise goal, so he quickly gets out, without even taking time to dry himself. He speeds up and almost runs to his hanfu, which is still a bit wet, he quickly put it back, not forgetting his head band that he ties around his forehead.

Then he runs back to the barn, hoping Lang Xinya is still busy inside, so no questions will be asked to the demon master about his hair being completely wet.

He finally arrives at the barn to directly spot the demon hunter carrying lots of planks to put it in a small carriage, which can easily be pulled by a human. Lang Xinya found that vehicle right next to the barn, it seemed unused, so he took it.

Yao Qiu also notices a bloody sword leaning against the plank wall at the entry of the barn, he supposes it is Lang Xinya's but he also wonders what happened while he wasn't here.

Yao Qiu comes a bit closer to Lang Xinya to help, then he frowns an eyebrow seeing that the demon hunter has a scar and some blood at the cheekbone. At first, the demon master says nothing, he just helps until they move all the tools and materials to the small carriage. Lang Xinya is the first one to notice :

-"Why is your hair all wet and untied ?"

-"I just took a bath a bit farther in the forest." Yao Qiu answers, he is now about to ask about the other one's scar but Lang Xinya exclaims, like scolding the other one :

-"Why would you do that in the middle of a forest ?! Don't you know how dangerous it is here ? You can't even defend yourself !" He says that because of the demon he just fought, there could be more wandering in the forest right now. Lang Xinya also doesn’t want the other one to risk losing his life for now.

-"Why are you even scolding me ? You are the one with a scar, YOU should be careful." Yao Qiu obviously wants to yell back at Lang Xinya but from what the one who transmigrated him said, it is better to not anger people in order to not die. Then Yao Qiu asks about that small scar on the demon hunter’s face.

-"I got attacked by a demon, one looking like the one you helped me to kill a few time ago. I think demons are after you. You need to be careful."

Yao Qiu keeps silent for a few seconds, time to think about why demons would go after him. He in fact doesn’t immediately realise that it is because he is now directly linked to demonism. The demon master takes some more time to think properly, he ends up thinking about something a villager said at the bar, a few days ago.

So he turns around to end up facing Lang Xinya, who is already holding the carriage, ready to go back to the small house. Yao Qiu talks :

-"Wait ! Before, when we were still at the village, I heard someone talking about... erm... Pan Rong..." The demon master says this name almost whispering, it shows how afraid he is about the demon god.

Lang Xinya doesn't really understand, he wasn’t even sure that Pan Rong is a real person, he only heard about them in books and kids' stories. He thought it was just a legend. So he asks who it really is and what they have to do with the demons that keep attacking the two men. Yao Qiu instinctively comes closer to Lang Xinya, so he doesn’t have to speak too loud :

-"Pan Rong is the demon god, and from what I've heard they are back from the 99 years curse..." Yao Qiu says, biting his nails out of stress and fear, then he keeps talking. This time he stares at Lang Xinya’s face and holds his shoulders to shake it :

-"They are really dangerous. We need to stop them, if we don't, the whole world will sink into darkness and demonism."

Lang Xinya raises an eyebrow, confused. He stops the shaking moves by taking Yao Qiu's hands, then he talks, still carefully holding the demon master's hands :

-"Hey calm down. Isn't the demon god only a legend to scare kids ?"

They are both sitting at the back of the carriage, conversing. Yao Qiu is still staring at Lang Xinya, with a panicked face, it seems to be really serious, that's what the demon hunter thinks. By the way, they are still holding hands, none of them notice that they are still in this posture. The demon master answers the other one :

-"No, that's not a legend. It is true thing, Pan Rong was locked up for 99 years but they survived, the chances for a god to survive the 99 years curse is really weak. We need to do something to protect everyone."

Lang Xinya finally notices he is still gently holding the panicked one's hands, so he lets them down and immediately wonders how Yao Qiu knows about it if the curse really started 99 years ago, way before his birth. Knowing about such a thing would make a proof that Yao Qiu is linked to demonic stuff.

-"I know that because erm... I just find it interesting, to know about our enemies, so we can eliminate them more easily."

The demon hunter accepts this excuse really easily, by the way Yao Qiu doesn't completely lie while saying that. After those few minutes of conversation, they both decide to go back to the village to first finish their quest of renovating the small house and to prepare a plan to kill Pan Rong, in case they would like to show up in front of them and start to kill everyone.
