After carefully taking all the artefacts and talismans out of the underground to put it right in front of their small house. They start organising things before deciding where to place it, there aren't a lot of protective items.

By the way, they have been living in the small house together for a few days now and happily they quickly built another bed, so they don't have to sleep together anymore. Yao Qiu weirdly started to enjoy those moments, when he could feel Lang Xinya's warm body while sleeping, without having to get too close to him of course.

Yao Qiu approaches the talismans first. He thinks for a moment, rubbing his chin, before turning around to face Lang Xinya. This one is sitting on the small wooden part outside of the renovated house, drinking some fresh water.

The demon master looks at the demon hunter :

-"Lang Xinya, can you upgrade those ? It's the same as upgrading the ones you already know about." He asks, handing him a bunch of talismans.

So Lang Xinya quickly gets up to take the talismans, he puts them on the wooden part he was sitting on before. He gets ready to upgrade the items in front of him, after staring at the things for a few really short seconds he mutters some sentences, to enlarge and strengthen the protective function of the talismans.

It doesn't seem hard to do but the person doing it needs a lot of experience to succeed doing it perfectly. So it wasn't that hard for Lang Xinya, since he trained being a demon hunter for a really long time, by the way he went to a really respected academy when he was younger.

Yao Qiu is closely observing the other one, curious about if the demon hunting methods drastically changed over the past 100 years. It changed a lot, as expected.

The demon hunter has now finished to upgrade the things in front of him, he turns around, feeling the demon master's presence really close. Then, facing Yao Qiu, Lang Xinya asks :

-"What are you looking at ?"

-"Umh, I was just making sure you did it correctly. That's all."

Lang Xinya looks at him, frowning an eyebrow, he keeps talking :

-"Making sure I'm doing it correctly ? How could you know about that, you never did it."

The demon hunter isn't waiting for an answer, he just turns around to take the talismans and to hand it again to the one close to him. Then, Lang Xinya directly puts the items in the other one’s hands and walks to the other items displayed in the grass, waiting for Yao Qiu to come and help him. The demon master does so.

They are now setting up dozens of talismans through the whole village, by putting one talisman on the entry door of each house and putting small statues on all gates surrounding the village, the village is indeed surrounded by walls to protect it more. Everything is going perfectly fine, they are quickly setting up everything.

While installing everything, the woman who gave them breakfast a few days ago looks at them from afar, she seems to REALLY be interested in Lang Xinya. She keeps staring at him. It feels a bit weird by the way. The villager is in fact halfway in her house, a really delicious smell is coming from the inside of it, she once again cooked to get Lang Xinya's attention.

She got interested in Lang Xinya since the first day the demon hunter came to get rid of the demon inside the small house. Even though they never really spoke, she seems to only be interested in the demon hunter's appearance.

After a short time, they both finally end up in front of that woman's house. Yao Qiu is holding the very few last talismans to set up, he walks to the habitation's door. The door is closed, the moment she saw both of them getting closer to her house, she decided to shut the door, as if she wasn't spying on them earlier. Arrived at the door's level, right before sticking the talisman on it, the door is suddenly being opened by the woman, she doesn't even take time to see who is behind this door is there that she talks :

-"Good ! You are here. I saw you were working hard once more, so I cooked for you." She says, directly smiling at Lang Xinya, ignoring the one right in front of her, as if he is again a ghost.

Lang Xinya walks closer to the house, he ends up standing right beside Yao Qiu. The demon hunter obviously notices that the villager is ignoring the other man in her yard on purpose. So he decides to directly ask Yao Qiu :

-"What do you think ? Should we rest for a bit with a good meal ?"

Yao Qiu accepts by simply nodding. Since they worked for a good part of the day, the demon master feels like they need a bit of time to rest, despite Yao Qiu's mind being busy thinking about Pan Rong coming back to Earth. He keeps the demon god in mind since Yao Qiu already lived the hell the demon god created.

Four people are now sitting around a small rectangular table, there's the woman, a man of similar age as her, the demon master and the demon hunter. The other man must be the woman's husband, they are indeed both wearing a ring on their left ring finger. The rings even look pretty old. Her husband seems really in love with her, anyone can guess it by the way he looks at and listen to her, it is really true love.

By the way, the man doesn't know why and who are the two young men sitting at their table, so he simply asks his wife :

-"Honey. Who are those young men you invited ? And why did you cook for them all day long ? Are they related to you ?"

-"Those handsome young men are in the village to help out. They are here to fight demons ! They are really strong." She says the last sentence obviously looking at Lang Xinya’s upper body part, as if she is obsessed with him. By the way, she chose to sit right next to him, letting her husband and Yao Qiu next to each other.

-"Oh ! Them ! By the way, what is your name ? Both of you. I'm Tu Chen and my wife's name is Tu Meilin."

Yao Qiu says nothing at first, he just looks at the food disposed on the table, he does not dare to be the first to take the food, since he has always let the elders eat first, as a sign of respect. Seeing that the demon master isn't answering, Lang Xinya decides to talk for them both :

-"My name is Lang Xinya and his name is Yao Qiu." He says smiling and pointing at the demon master, who is still staring at the food.

After only a few minutes eating, the one named Tu Meilin, takes some of her food to directly place it in the demon hunter's bowl, smiling. Lang Xinya discreetly frowns one of his eyebrows, so no one can see that he is upset about something. Then he says :

-"Miss Tu, erm... I don't think it is really polite to do that in front of your husband."

The demon master looks at Lang Xinya's face, then at Tu Meilin’s. He nods to agree with what Lang Xinya just said, the woman notices, so she answers the demon hunter :

-"It's fine ! He knows I only married him out of pity." Then she addresses Yao Qiu :"You, don't worry. I won't steal your partner."

At this right moment Yao Qiu chokes on what he is eating, he is so surprised by what she just said, which is obviously a lie, she wants to get closer to Lang Xinya. The demon master spits everything on the one in front of him, who is Lang Xinya.

Seeing that her crush is all covered in a mix of saliva and food, Tu Meilin starts to yell at Yao Qiu, she is scolding him. Then she almost lays on the small table to slap the poor demon master with a piece of tissue while still yelling :

-"What have you done ?! Be careful with this beautiful young man !"

The slaps almost take Yao Qiu's bandana off, it would be terrible if anyone in this household discovers he is linked to demonism, not forgetting that Lang Xinya already guessed it almost directly after their first meet. But nothing happened to Yao Qiu about his true identity being revealed, it is a bit weird.

Tu Meilin's husband tries to stop her from hurting an innocent young man but there's nothing to do, she keeps slapping him. Tu Chen is now even trying to speak a bit louder to make his wife stop but he simply can't because he loves her too much to do that. Seeing that the situation isn't evolving positively, Lang Xinya reacts, he suddenly grabs Tu Meilin's wrist and orders :

-"Now please leave my friend alone. I'm fine, it's just some food, I'll clean it up later. Now please sit correctly."

He lets the woman's arm go after saying that. Then he keeps talking, in a more calm way, addressing the demon master :

-"Here take some food, since you spilled half of your bowl away." Lang Xinya carefully places some of his own food in Yao Qiu's bowl.

Right after doing that, Lang Xinya suddenly turns his head and takes a look at the outside of the house, as if he just heard something, but there is absolutely no sound coming from there. So Yao Qiu worries a bit :

-"Thanks for the food. Erm... What's wrong ?"

-"Nothing. We'll talk about it after."

Only a few minutes passes that the demon hunter does the same, he looks outside again, this time he seems more alerted about something. Yao Qiu notices it so he insists on wanting to know what is wrong. So they both end up outside of the house, far enough for the middle aged married couple to not hear anything, the thing Lang Xinya has to say seems quite important.

They are standing in front of the gate of Tu Meilin and Tu Chen's house, no one is around but Lang Xinya still seems perturbed by something, he keeps looking around the place. Yao Qiu is curious and a bit worried about what it could be, so he tries to get the demon hunter's attention by simply holding one of his arms and softly talking :

-"Hey Lang Xinya. What's wrong ? Tell me."

Lang Xinya wipes away a bit of food he still has on his face before looking at Yao Qiu's face to answer :

-"I can feel a demonic aura, not the one coming from you. A more powerful one."

Both the demon hunter and the demon master don't realise that Lang Xinya just announced that he knows about Yao Qiu being linked with demonism. Yao Qiu says, a bit worried :

-"Then we need to go away. You said demons are attracted to me, right ? So we need to run away from this village to protect everyone."

Lang Xinya looks at Yao Qiu's dirty clothes and remembers his own clothes are now dirty as well, so he decides to grab the demon master's arm and to just run to a really precise direction. He could have used his sword to fly to his destination but he doesn't because Yao Qiu doesn't have any and the demon hunter doesn't want to share his own with a person linked to demonism.
