After walking in this empty city for a few metres only, they realise that the city is truly empty. Yao Qiu leads the way by walking first to a wooden board, on this board is written how lifeful the city was before hundreds of demons decided to invade it. The demons were obviously controlled by a really bad intentioned person but it happened a really long time ago, so no one knows who did it.

It is said that this city was a strategic commerce spot, it was a pretty rich city, making a strong link between the cities in the East to the cities in the West. The Ancient City, which is really its name, must have been really populated, since the five of the adventurers encountered numerous cemeteries on their way.

While reading some of the information about the city, Yao Qiu feels a hand going on his lower back, on his waist. He is startled by that, he discreetly looks beside him to realise that it is Lang Xinya's hand, the demon hunter is concentrated reading the panel as well, slightly bending to see closely. Yao Qiu acts as if he isn't feeling that hand, he doesn't want to point it out.

After reading that wooden board, the demon master looks around then asks :

-"Who sent all the demons here ?"

Lang Xinya gets up, keeping his hand on Yao Qiu's back, he answers, not sure about what he is saying :

-"It is maybe... Pan Rong ?"

-"I checked the dates on the graves while we were coming, they all died exactly 80 years ago. Pan Rong have been jailed for the past 99 years, so there is no way for them to send demons all over this city. By the way, it would have been known if they did that recently."

-"Erm.. How can you know what you are saying is true ?"

Yao Qiu takes some time to internally panic, then he makes up an answer, something anyone can trust, random people or anyone against demons :

-"I'm a demon master. I know demonic things." He shrugs his shoudlers, as if he just said something obvious.

-"That's right, I don't know everything about demonism. Now let's go farther in the city, we'll maybe find clues about it." Then Lang Xinya starts walking deeper in the city, taking Yao Qiu with him, still his hand on the other one's waist.

At the city's entry, Liao Bo took a piece of cloth from the dark thick fog producing Angel, the woman simply puts the piece of cloth in one of her pockets. Then she starts walking into the city, looking at the two men from afar. She enters the city, holding the Angel by its chains so it doesn't walk away. After walking for a few minutes, Liao Bo instinctively turns to face a huge building, it seems to be the office of the city's chief, she curiously enters.

Liao Bo is now in a big wooden building, the walls are painted in red but most of the things inside of it seem to be destroyed. Its destruction doesn't look recent at all, so it might have happened 80 years ago, as Yao Qiu says.

Dozens of books are placed all over the floor, as if a tornado entered the building. Windows are broken as well, so dead leaves and moisture from frequent rain reigns all around the windows. Liao Bo takes some steps deeper inside, after walking for a few metres, she sees something engraved on the floor, she takes off some pieces of paper hiding the thing then she reads :

-"For the Great Pan Rong. I, Liu Hien, will do everything to free you from this jail. Highness, you don't deserve to be trapped. Demonism is good, demonism will reign." It gives her shivers then she instantly understands that this is this mysterious Liu Hien who did all that mess 80 years ago but they must be dead by now.

She also instantly thinks telling the two men about what she just found. By the way, Yao Qiu and Lang Xinya are now together in a building as well, this time it is what seems to be an old hotel, they can see it with a counter close to the main door, right after a small corridor. The two men are finally separating to go each one a different way, still inside the building, each of them are curious to know who sent demons to destroy this city.

Liao Bo doesn't dare to yell to call their name, too scared to attract some demon's attention. So she decides to quickly walk around the place, thinking they didn't go far away. The demon killer quickly finds them, so she enters the abandoned hotel and finds Lang Xinya first, so she tells him what she just found :

-"Lang Xinya. I found something in another building, it is a message from the one who destroyed everything."

-"Really ? How can you be sure it is the one who destroyed everything ?"

-"I'm not sure, they wrote a message for Pan Rong. So this person might be linked to the destruction of this place."

After that they both walk to the exit of the room, the Angel still closely following Liao Bo since she is still holding its chains. Realising that the demon master isn't showing up, Lang Xinya simply calls him :

-"Yao Qiu ! Liao Bo found something and I can't walk around if you are not here."

Liao Bo frowns an eyebrow looking at Lang Xinya, she softly says :

-"You don't need him to come, you already have his demonic smell on you. Is he really your husband for you to always want to be with him ?"

The demon hunter's eyes open slightly wider and his face turns softly reddish, he now has to make up a lie to not confess that he is interested in the other guy. So he says something that isn't entirely a lie :

-"Only a demon related person can order demons to do such a thing, so maybe he'll know the person who wrote the message."

Yao Qiu finally shows up, he was upstairs in the hotel, exploring a bit.

They are now all gathered in front of the building where that mysterious person graved the message on the wooden floor. They all enter it. The two men, who never went in the building, are looking all around in the same pattern as they did in the previous building. Liao Bo walks closer to where she found the engraved message, she finds it back and calls for both Lang Xinya and Yao Qiu.

The three of them are gathered around the marking on the floor, they all read it silently, then Liao Bo asks :

-"Do any of you know who Liu Hien is or was ?"

Lang Xinya simply shakes his head to say 'no'. While Yao Qiu is thinking, rubbing his chin, then he suddenly remembers his best friend from his past life, his name is Liu Hien !

Right before dying, Yao Qiu as Hong Zihan noticed that his best friend was slowly getting weirder towards the ones who kill demons and demon masters. It feels like he became more and more interested in those creatures and people, not as in 'interested to eliminate them better' but more as if he wanted to join them. But is it the same Liu Hien ? Yao Qiu worries that his past life's best friend took the wrong path, then he remembers that now he is himself a demon master, so there is no wrong path.

After thinking about it, he lets some words go out of his mouth :

-"Liu Hien... What have you done..."

He says that as if he knows that man really well. So Liao Bo questions :

-"What ? Do you know them ? Who are they ? Where are they ?"

While Liao Bo is unstoppably questioning the demon master, Lang Xinya is taking a closer look at the graved message, he instantly realises that this handwriting isn't new at all. "How could a young man such as Yao Qiu know someone from 80 years ago ? Is the demon master immortal ? But he almost died earlier !" That is what Lang Xinya is thinking right now.

Yao Qiu hesitates to talk but finally says :

-"Erm... He was my best friend... A long time ago."

-"Like when you were kids ? So he was a demon master as well." Liao Bo asks, genuinely curious about this friend.

Yao Qiu nods, not wanting to give any more explanation about him knowing someone from more than 80 years ago and that his past best friend was in fact a demon hunter as well as he himself used to be when he was called Hong Zihan.

Lang Xinya suspects the friendship between the demon master and Liu Hien to be a lie but why would he lie about being friends with someone cruel enough to send demons to destroy an entire city ? Maybe Yao Qiu isn't that nice. But his reaction about the name "Liu Hien" seemed to be real. Lang Xinya will say nothing about those thoughts for now.
