It was student fair season—rows of booths lined the quad, music spilled from speakers, bright banners swayed in the breeze. Min-Soo was at the community service stall, laughing with his team as he handed out flyers, perfectly in his element.

Ji-Hoon had only planned to stop by. To support him. To smile.

The chatter around them stilled.

“You lied,” Ji-Hoon continued, louder now. His voice didn’t shake. “You let me take the fall for something we both shared. You hid behind my silence. You let me be torn apart by people who didn’t know better. But you knew.”

Whispers rippled through the crowd.

Seung-Hwan’s jaw tightened. “You’re imagining things.”

“No,” another voice said.

Min-Soo.

He stepped out from the stall, expression unreadable, eyes sharp.

“You don’t get to gaslight him anymore,” Min-Soo said firmly. “We know who you are.”

Ji-Hoon drew strength from the words, from the hand that found his.

“I’m not scared of you anymore,” Ji-Hoon said. “I’m done hiding. If people want to talk, let them. This time, they’ll hear my story.”

Seung-Hwan scoffed, but the edge in his posture faltered.

Min-Soo lifted their joined hands high enough for all to see. His voice carried:

“We’re together. And I’m proud of him. Every single day.”

Gasps. Whispers. Eyes wide.

But Ji-Hoon didn’t shrink.

“You do,” Min-Soo said without hesitation. “You always did.”
