This particular Behind You was not created for the public’s eyes. I did as a thank you for Joe Hill but he kindly approved it for general consumption.
It’s a take on a scene from Locke and Key, the wonderful comic created by him and Gabriel Rodriguez. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend picking it up, it’s a compelling, creepy joy, and full of seemingly endless, weird ideas.
"Will you be my mommy, please?" "Of course, dear. Just let me get out of this well." *sounds of someone struggling with slippery brick siding* "...this may take a while, feel free to sit down."
Behind You is an ongoing horror webcomic/series made by me, Brian Coldrick (hello). I try to upload one a week. While they're usually static, some are simple animated gifs.
The series sprung out of my love of horror films and books, and particularly the reading of spooky internet stories. My favourite type of spooky internet story is the real life account. These barely function as narratives, they are basically scary scenarios. There are so many gaps in the stories there’s lots of room for the reader to fill them in with their own conclusions. This series is essentially my attempt to purposefully do the same.
