Heir of the Blood. Chronicles of the Celestial World. Shanlu

Chapter 14. Dark Night. Village of the Faded Lily. Lands of the Bailing Hu Order.

Chapter 14. Dark Night. Village of the Faded Lily. Lands of the Bailing Hu Order.

Dec 05, 2025

Shenye Xiu Ying (Dong Yang)

The name of this village was very strange, but after walking around and talking to the locals, the young man found out that everything had its own meaning.

For example, a withered lily indicated that a rich man lived here, and he grew lilies, which, according to the locals, were delivered to all the rich courtyards in the area.

But one morning, this man discovered that all his flowers had withered and dried up. Then he turned to the Mei Order.

The arriving spellcasters found out that a curse had fallen on the village and freed the locals from it, thereby saving many souls and generations. And the village was named after the flowers.

Already at sunset, the young man and his companion went into the tavern. There were few visitors, and they, having rented rooms and ordered dinner, settled down at a large table. After filling his stomach, Dong Yang thought about the story and asked, not hiding his interest:

— Teacher, how did the spellcasters know about the curse from the flowers?

Chen Shang Liang (Hao Yu)

Already accustomed to his companion, he sighed and answered the question. Despite the fact that the young man had studied in a monastery, there were gaps in his knowledge here and there.

— Xiu Ying, every magical effect leaves its mark. Sometimes it is deliberately hidden, and it is difficult to see, but experienced spellcasters are able to follow the energy trail and find out the true reason for what happened even in such a situation. Although, in this case, it is unlikely that anyone bothered with such a thing.

There were few visitors in the tavern, and the general atmosphere created an almost homely comfort and was conducive to communication. Not rushing to go up to the room, although they had finished their meal, the wang raised the cup and sipped the wine.

Daxia

Cursing, the girl hit the horse's rump with her palm, which stumbled right at the entrance to the village. The locals were already getting ready for bed, but she wasn't interested in them. She would soon be returning home. This is sad. She can stay in Celestial World for no more than a couple of days in addition to what she has already been, then she will have to wait for an opportunity again.

As she approached the tavern, she sensed the spellcasters, and an expressive smile adorned her face. What luck! It's so remote, but the power can be felt from a great distance. Excellent prey.

Having hidden the bright red robe and dark energy with spells, she did not transform her face. The spellcaster was obviously a young man, and who wouldn't covet a lonely beauty?

Handing the owner of the establishment a horse and slightly tousling her hair, she entered the room. Her eyebrows rose in surprise. Red curls shimmering in the candlelight could only fail to attract a blind man, and even that was a dubious belief.

Having ordered a couple of vessels of wine, she went straight to the table with the spellcasters and, having approached, bowed:

— Esteemed wangs, may I ask permission to join your company? — she glanced around the room, through which the innkeeper was already running towards them with wine, — I am not empty-handed. Here is a treat from me.

Waiting for an invitation, she did not waste time in vain. The one in white felt weak and uninteresting. But the red-haired handsome man — this is exactly what is needed. What a successful evening! She stopped her gaze on her prey.

Shenye Xiu Ying (Dong Yang)

Xiu Ying completely lost interest in the conversation as soon as he saw the girl approaching. An amazing beauty. Wiping the remains of food with his sleeve, he smiled his most expressive smile.

— Of course, beauty, — he moved over, making room, — sit down. We dare not refuse such a request. We are wangs, and it is our duty to help people.

Daxia

Having received an invitation from someone other than the one she expected, she nevertheless sat down in the vacant seat and looked at both of them with interest. The innkeeper, meanwhile, left the jugs and went to his work place.

— My name is Shu Daxia, I come from a small village nearby, and what are the names of such majestic young men?

Shenye Xiu Ying (Dong Yang)

— Shu Daxia, — he raised himself and bowed, — this is Chen Shang Liang, and I am Shenye Xiu Ying. We have been to many places, but this is the first time we have met such a beauty.

Glancing at his companion, he came to the conclusion that he was not going to say anything, which, however, was not surprising.

— And where is the young lady going?

Daxia

The prey was silent as if her mouth was full of water. She glanced at him with displeasure. She really didn’t want to talk to the lad. You’d spend more energy on words than you would benefit from, but without losing hope, she still decided to be polite. She smiled with the corner of her lips.

— Oh, venerable spellcasters, your names are great and the Shanlu will remember them for centuries, composing legends about your campaigns. My path is not as significant as yours. I just came to buy some medicine for my sick mother, — not seeing any interest from the red-haired man, she covered his hand with her own and, still wanting to awaken his male nature, she used a very weak charm, — Chen Shang Liang, maybe you can tell me. She has had trouble falling asleep for a long time now and wakes up often. What should I buy for her?

Chen Shang Liang (Hao Yu)

The girl who sat down next to them did not arouse any interest. In roadside taverns, you can often meet girls who make a living with their bodies. Busy with his thoughts, he only half-listened to the young sorcerer singing like a nightingale before her, until her slender fingers lay on his hand.

Darkness. A dense stream reached for his own, caressing. And for a moment, instead of an ordinary girl's hand, a predator's hand flashed before his eyes. The one who had no place on these lands according to the treaty.

Shang Liang looked more closely at her face, but saw nothing special. Very beautiful, yes, but her eyes, in spite of everything, were ordinary, human. Strong and dangerous. And his companion had better stay away from her.

— Lady Daxia, in order to choose the best medicine for your mother, I need to ask you a couple of questions. And I think that this is not the best place for conversation. Would you do me the honor of coming up to the room with me?

Daxia

She looked at the young man in surprise, who himself had suggested something that would have required her effort. She smiled brightly and, standing up, bowed slightly.

— Of course, lord spellcaster. It is true, the conversation is more personal. I thank you for your understanding, — looking at Xiu Ying, she smiled at the boy, — I apologize for stealing your companion, but this is too exciting a question for me and my mother.

And there was not a drop of lie in these words. Now she really needed at least a bit of light magical energy. A demon simply needs it to hide his own darkness behind a screen. For appearance, the simplest feminine tricks are enough to hide the color of the eyes and claws with fangs. Thanks to such actions, spellcasters are not able to distinguish a demon from an ordinary person.

Shenye Xiu Ying (Dong Yang)

The young man nodded. It was impossible to argue with such words. Of course, he was counting on a fun night, but that was okay. After all, the speeches wouldn’t take too much time. He could wait until she returned.

After watching her, he pulled the jug closer to himself, which Shang Liang hadn’t touched.

Chen Shang Liang (Hao Yu)

Rising from his seat, he politely extended his hand. The touch again enveloped him in a soft and cozy blanket of darkness. That's what was needed. She approached them herself, apparently he deserved a gift from the gods.

Having let the girl into the room, he began to close the door so that no one would interfere with what was inevitably about to happen.

— Make yourself at home.

Daxia

Putting her hand in someone else's, she smiled, admiring the waterfall of red hair and imagining how well her color would suit this wang. However, it was only a fleeting thought that flew away like a bird. The demon felt the power. And it was as if she herself was ready to surrender herself into the hands of a predator, but she would not rush. The prey was too beautiful, and the desire to enjoy the beauty took over.

The spellcaster closed the door behind him and suggested that they settle in. Why? The night was too short to waste it on empty words. Coming closer, she waited for him to turn around and, clasping his neck with her arms, rose on her toes, pressing herself.

She picked up a strand of hair with her fingers, wound it and slightly squinting her eyes, quietly whispered:

— Don't waste time, handsome.

Chen Shang Liang (Hao Yu)

The girl is affectionate, like a kitten, and she gives off a feeling of coziness. The spellcaster smiled and caught himself thinking a thought that shouldn't have bothered him.

The contract that was once concluded in these lands with the demons was clearly broken, and this could cost the violator dearly, no matter how strong she was. A slight shadow, noticeable only to an attentive eye, passed across his face.

— It doesn't matter that I'm going to stay here for now.

Without knowing why he was doing this, Shang Liang took the little hand and, kissing the palm, took the ring off his little finger and put it on the demoness' finger.

— Daxia, accept this little gift. If you want to find me, it will show you the way.

Turning the hand over, he admired it. The black opal shimmered with all the colors and suited her bright beauty very well, letting go, he smiled and, pulling her head, gently kissed her slightly swollen lips and burying his fingers in her thick black, like a raven's feather, curls.

Daxia

Until dawn they enjoyed communication and mutual caresses. That night she gave herself completely to the red-haired van. Only when the first roosters crowed, Daxia suddenly remembered that it was time to return home very soon. It was urgently necessary to finish with business here and perhaps, if there was enough time, she would have time to use the gift.

She kissed him briefly, slipping out of his hands, and began to collect her clothes from the floor.

— You are wonderful, and I would like to meet you again. Perhaps... — she thought, laughed, and said the first thing that came to mind, — you can’t be a demon, your eyes are too beautiful.

Chen Shang Liang (Hao Yu)

The night flew by unnoticed. Moving from gentle caresses to passionate ones and back, the spellcaster listened to the unusual sensations. He had never met such girls before. Everything was perfect, as if they had become a single being, doing what was needed at every moment.

Regrettably releasing the girl, he laughed at the unexpected words and also rose from the bed to get dressed.

— A demon? I didn’t intend to, — becoming serious, he grabbed her by the waist and, pulling her in, kissed her, — will also be glad to see you again, Daxia.

After thinking for a bit, he added with a smile:

— My spellcasting name is Hao Yu.

Daxia

The red fabric, not quite put on, hung on her hands, Daxia ran her finger along her nose, which for some reason she also liked for its curve and not only.

— Hao Yu, do you think I was going to be a demon? I don't think there is a choice of who to be born as. If there was, I'm not sure I would have chosen this. By the way, demons don't have middle names, and they don't have a last name either, but as far as I know, there are no other demons named Daxia.

Her sensitive nose caught the scent of the young man, and she laid her head on his shoulder, enjoying the aroma. Right now she wants to be weak and need these caring hands, but reality is different, and she continued to dress.

— I can't give you a gift like you gave me. You won't be able to get to the lands where I live. But... — having untangled a small hairpin from her hair, she put it in her hand, — if you need a lot, a lot of darkness, just break the crystal in it. There’s enough of it in it to destroy a small city.

Chen Shang Liang (Hao Yu)

He took the gift carefully, examining it and admiring it, and stuck it into his hair.

— Thank you. Perhaps our paths will cross again, — he smiled, wanting to brighten up the slight sadness. He didn't want to let the girl go, but the demon and the spellcaster were not on the same path. Taking her by the waist, he lifted the girl, light as a feather, and rewarded her with a long kiss.

— Being a demon suits you, — tearing himself away from her lips, he kissed her incomprehensibly attractive eyes and lowered her to the floor. He briefly pressed her to his chest as a farewell, as if trying to remember the whole range of sensations that a casual acquaintance evoked, and stroked the silk of her hair.

Having released her, he did not detain her any longer, watching Daxia finish her toilet. It would seem that what is special about spending the night together? Everyone got what they wanted and even more. He smiled, the memories of sweet moans and passionate embraces seemed to plunge him into the enchanting atmosphere again. And only when the door closed behind the demoness, he sighed quietly, shaking off the delightful bliss. It was time for them to leave, with this thought, Shang Liang went to wake up his young companion.
