Please listen to ‘Daddy issues’ by The neighbourhood and ‘Season of love’ by Emma Skies ft. Victor Ludberg, as they are mentioned in this episode, thank you!
“You having fun?” she says. I look up at her. A smirk playing on her face.
“Yeah,” I chuckle. “Stray cats really like me for some reason.”
I continue petting the cat. It purrs, vibrating in my hand. The soft fur, and its whiskers poking at my hand, like a little ball of yarn. A little orange one.
Tida smiles and pets it too. As if she can read my mind;
“Let’s call you yarnball,” she chuckles and she goes around the bench to sit next to me and the cat.
My hand keeps petting the cat as if it’s a mechanic, that won't stop.
“Do you like cats?” She asks.
“Yeah, ever since my uncle got a cat it was my best friend when i visited.” I smile and look down at the cat on my lap.
“Do you have one at home?”
“No, I don't have enough space or money to get a cat”
“You know, I've heard about this cat cafe, it is a short bit out of town but if you want we can go there,” She smiles. “There’s also a mall near the cafe.”
“Sure we can go, how far is it from here?”
She checks her phone. “It’a about a 25 minute drive,”
I put the cat down, and it wanders around our legs. I look at Tida again and stand up.
“Shall we get going?” I put my bag over my shoulder and waited for her to stand up too.
She does and I follow her to her car, parked not long from the entrance of the park. Her car is luxurious-looking and black.
“Have you ever been a passenger princess?” Tida asks, as she opens the car door for me.
“No,” I chuckle and get in the car, the seats are soft and comfortable.
“Well, you’re gonna be today,” She laughs.
She gets in the driver's seat, and puts on some music.
“Go ahead and cry, little girl. Nobody does it like you do. I know how much it matters to you. I know that you got daddy issues. And if you were my little girl. I'd do whatever I could do. I'd run away and hide with you. I know that you got daddy issues, and I do too.~”
She sings along. Her fingers tap at the beat. She takes her phone and hands it to me.
“Can you go on Spotify and find my playlist, ‘It’s getting better’?” she asks, her eyes focused on the road. “My password is 29***17”
“Sure,” I put in the code and go into Spotify.
She doesn’t have many apps that I know. Every girl does that little thing here they scan for any red flags based on apps.
I found the playlist, the first thing I noticed is that the first two songs are: ‘Season of love’ and ‘Oh dandelion’ both by Emma and Victor. Two of my favourites.
I play ‘Season of love’ and sing along.
“As the leaves change color, I dive into you. When summer's fadin', there's nothin' to do, but bask in the glory of the winter sun. Maybe this is the season of love. As the leaves change color, I dive into you. When summer's fadin', there's nothin' to do, but bask in the glory of the winter sun. Maybe this is the season of love.~”
