Jin Sheng asked, “May I know what happened?”

Ye nodded, “I had accepted by the party to transport goods to WuJi. At midnight, they wanted to use me as tribute in a ritual.”

“I fought back, but they did summon a finger. I was stricken by the finger that they summoned. When I was at death’s door, she appeared and saved me.”

Jin Sheng nodded and asked, “Do you know what the finger is?”

Ye shook his head, “Not sure. I could only guess it’s something related to Heretic.”

Jin Sheng nodded and asked, “May I know why you wish to come to WuJi?”

Ye said, “I just arrived on this planet, and there is news about WuJi recruiting. So I decided to come to WuJi and try my luck to become a citizen.”

Jin Sheng nodded and stood up, “I got it. I will discuss with the others. We will take our leave now.”

Jin Sheng asked, “According to your observation, what is your opinion?”

The woman with black hair in a bob hairstyle, “Sister, he didn’t explain how the finger was in that state.”

Jin Sheng nodded, “Indeed, he concealed the fact. Jin Yue (金月), what about your impression of him?”

Jin Yue, the woman with a bob hairstyle, “I don’t feel those evil intentions from him. How about you, elder sister ?”

Jin Li Hui (金黎辉), the woman with white hair in a butterfly hairstyle, “Same as you, sister.”

The woman wore metallic half-frame spectacles and straight black long hair. She stood beside Jin Li Hui.  

She pushed her spectacles, “Yuan Zhu, do we need to proceed with the other inspection?”

Jin Sheng nodded, “Qian Hui (千慧), you can proceed with the other inspection. We can’t afford to have spies from another country. The tournament is around the corner. I suspect that the other country will have no action.”

Qian Hui was in a doctor’s attire and came to the ward with the data of Ye’s inspection. She noticed Jin Sheng and Asagi Hasegawa were already in the ward.

Qian Hui, “Sorry, I’m late because of the data.”

Jin Sheng shook her hand, “Never mind, you can state his data.”

Qian Hui nodded and gave a copy to Jin Sheng and Asagi Hasegawa, “His attribute is low. Based on his attribute, his growth rate is 1. Additionally, he is a pure stat. I’m not sure where he can shine.”

Jin Sheng gazed at Ye and asked, “Do you still wanna hide?”

Ye shook his head, and he reallocated his attribute as he wished. Qian Hui and Asagi Hasegawa were surprised that Ye could reallocate at will.

Jin Sheng nodded, “There is more, right?”

Ye snapped his finger. The artificial Purgatory dimension appeared on Ye’s left-hand side. This time, even Jin Sheng was surprised.

Qian Hui asked, “This is a dimension?”

Jin Sheng nodded, “It is a Purgatory dimension. But, it is artificial.”

Ye was surprised that some outsiders had figured out it was an artificial dimension.

Jin Sheng asked, “Is it the reason you regenerate speed faster than a normal human?”

Ye nodded, “More specifically, I had made a pact with this Purgatory dimension. Then, the Purgatory dimension becomes a part of me.”

Qian Hui frowned and asked, “Is it a skill of yours?”

Ye shook his head, “The pact is a skill of mine. But, this Purgatory dimension is not.”

Jin Sheng's expression turned stern, and she asked, “Are you an experiment subject?”

Ye nodded, “I was an experiment subject. For a normal human to become an awakener. I was a failure because my growth rate is 1.”

Jin Sheng nodded, “I assigned you to a task along with Asagi Hasegawa. Once you have completed the task, I will grant you WuJi’s citizenship. Are you ok with it?”

Ye nodded and asked, “May I know the details of the task?”

Jin Sheng stood up, “Recently, we have found a maze in the outskirts. According to the information, the maze seems to allow individuals with a level 10 or below. I would like to let the students enter the maze.” 

“However, I'm afraid that the maze is a trap. So I would like you to enter along with the students. You will be in charge of the students in the WuShu Academy (五属学圆). As for other academies, the councils and armies will handle it.”

“If you can enter the maze with Asagi Hasegawa, it will be the best. Otherwise, you need to take care of all the students.”

Ye nodded, “Got it. I will try my best.”

Ye was discharged from the hospital. Asagi Hasegawa was appointed to introduce Ye to the kingdom of WuJi.

Asagi Hasegawa and Ye were sitting in a plane, “There are five continents on Mira. WuJi is on the Eastern continent, along with the other two kingdoms. The other two kingdoms are Dong Ying(东瀛) and Xu Yang (须阳).”

“When WuJi is formed, both kingdoms become an alliance to stand against WuJi. Since WuJi is formed by a revolt. The former kingdom is named Jin Lu (金露). As you can guess, Jin Lu was ruled by the Jin family, where Yuan Zhu came from.”

“At first, the two kingdoms were still friendly to WuJi. The situation changed when the Namless Seven’s (无名七众) strength was revealed to the public. They are the seven individuals whose strength is on par with Yuan Zhu. Do you know what it means?”

Ye nodded, “On the surface, WuJi is having three Yuan Zhu. But, WuJi actually has ten. Additionally, seven of them can move freely. Unlike Yuan Zhu, who can only move inside the kingdom.”

Asagi Hasegawa nodded with a smile, “That’s mostly the situation of WuJi. And, the reason why we've been cautious about you.”

Ye nodded and asked, “Hasegawa, do you know where I can get a room at an affordable price?”

Asagi Hasegawa chuckles, “Ara~ Ara~ Yuan Zhu has asked me to oversee you. During this period, you can stay at my place.”

Ye bowed and shook her hand, “You are a great saver. Without you, I really don’t know where I could have been.”

And thus, Asagi Hasegawa had driven Ye to her house. Along the way, Asagi Hasegawa informed Ye that WuJi had 5 states. They were Long Chen(龙晨) at the north, Sai Ya (赛亚) at the east, Fa Yuan(法缘) at the west, Mo Du (魔都) at the south, and Gui (归) at the center.

MoDu had four cities under its governance. These were Yue Lin (月临), Xing Ye (星烨), Kong Mo (空墨), and Yao Yang (曜阳). Currently, they were at Yue Lin, where she lived and worked. She was the headmaster of WuShu Academy. 

Ye got to know what Asagi Hasegawa’s house looked like. The house was made with an alloy called Mimoly. Mimoly was a shape-memory alloy and could imbue a magic property. This made the house hard to destroy. Additionally, the house also represented her status and wealth.

The house of Asagi Hasegawa was a double-storey terrace house. The house had 2,421 square feet. Asagi Hasegawa permitted Ye only on the ground floor. It had a typical ground-floor plan. An entry, a foyer, a living area, a dining area, a utility room, a dry and wet kitchen, a guest room, a guest bathroom, and a yard. 

Asagi Hasegawa and Ye were in the living area to discuss the members for the task. Ye paid all his attention to all the students Asagi Hasegawa recommended. Of course, Ye would pay attention. Since this was the condition for getting citizenship.

After reviewing all the students, Ye asked, “How many students do you want to be in this task?”

Asagi Hasegawa answered, “If you can let me enter the maze along with the students, I will say 10.”

Ye nodded and reviewed all the students again.
