Chapter 8: The Ultimate Embrace

The Battle Begins

Present.

“Now, everyone’s turn.”

The Fake Krrish was about to make good on his terrible promise, starting with Mohit. He grabbed Mohit's neck in a vice-like grip. Mohit struggled, thrashing in a mix of fear and pain.

I never thought my story would end the way it began, Mohit thought in his final moment.

The Fake Krrish twisted Mohit’s neck with a sickening crack. The lifeless body was dropped from the air.

Just as he declared his grim intentions, a sudden, sharp crack echoed through the ruins. A bullet slammed into the Fake Krrish.

The surrounding people gasped, looking for the shooter. On a nearby building, a figure stood with a shotgun. It was Doga.

Doga: “Yo! Let me join the party.”

Enraged, the Fake Krrish charged.

Doga: “Come on, come closer!” A cunning glint was in Doga’s eye.

As the Fake Krrish closed the distance, a bolt of purple energy slammed into him. Mowni had arrived. The Fake Krrish was sent tumbling back. Doga and Mowni were prepared. The Fake Krrish, however, was equally powerful and met their onslaught head-on. Doga, utilizing his full power and skill, and Mowni, throwing everything she had into the fight, desperately tried to take him down. The outcome was impossible to tell.

The Price of Salvation

Back in the jail cell, Prakash was pleading.

“The people need your help. I’m not asking as a police officer, but as a man. You have to end this.”

Krrish: “I can’t.”

Prakash: “Look! You failed to save your son when he made a mistake. Now, you have a chance to save everyone, and you’re refusing. You are the one who is failing them, not your son.”

The words struck Krrish like a physical blow. He bowed his head, utterly silent. Prakash, seeing he could not argue further, turned away and issued a frantic order to a constable.

Prakash: “Deploy the entire army! We need maximum force. Tell those who hesitate this is their last chance. If we don’t save the town now, there won't be a town left to save!”

The constable stared at him in disbelief. “Sir! What are you saying? Destroy the town?”

Prakash looked back, a look of utter helplessness in his eyes. He had no idea what fate awaited them.

Mowni and Doga were giving it their all, but the Fake Krrish’s powers were too much. They had brought backup: Doga’s dogs, injected with Mowni’s power, and Mowni’s three super-humans, revived and imbued with her energy. They fought with tactical precision, and for the first time, the Fake Krrish was overwhelmed by fighting so many opponents simultaneously.

Then, Prakash arrived with the full backup of the army, opening fire on the Fake Krrish. Caught between so many forces, the villain struggled.

A constable ran up to Prakash.

Constable: “Sir, the people haven't completely evacuated. Some are still trapped here!”

Prakash: “Open fire.”

Constable: “But sir!”

Prakash: “I said, Open Fire!”

The constable, having no choice, relayed the order. Panic etched the faces of the people; sorrow shadowed the eyes of the police.

Suddenly, every single tank and weapon was instantly destroyed.

A figure descended slowly through the air, gathering all the remaining civilians and moving them safely away from the battle. He landed gently in the heart of the conflict.

The Fake Krrish saw him.

Fake Krrish: “You have come, Father.”

Krrish looked at his son with profound pity, accepting the enormity of his failure.

Doga’s face contorted with malice. He raised his gun and shot Krrish. The bullet bounced off, doing no harm. Krrish charged Doga with full force, destroying his gun, and stared intensely into his eyes.

Krrish: “I haven’t forgotten you.”

Doga: “Nor have I.”

Mowni attacked, but Krrish easily neutralized her. “I didn’t come here for you.”

Doga then punched Krrish with a metallic thud. Krrish was sent flying and crashed hard. He looked at Doga in astonishment. Doga showed his hands, now fitted with advanced, powerful weaponry.

Doga: “This time, I came prepared.”

The fight intensified into a brutal, destructive free-for-all. Krrish finally, desperately, knocked the Fake Krrish unconscious. Mowni was exhausted.

Now, only Doga and Krrish remained, locked in a ferocious, devastating duel. The battle zone was being completely decimated.

The Ultimate Sacrifice

Mowni, drained, was about to be attacked when Sharmila arrived to shield her.

Mowni: “What are you doing here?”

Sharmila: “I came to save you.”

Priya was also there, tending to Mowni. Priya: “Don’t worry, we are here.”

They, along with Jadu, were saving all the people trapped in the chaos. Jadu helped heal the wounded. Mowni was terrified of Jadu at first.

Mowni: “What is that thing?”

Sharmila: “Don’t panic. She’s my friend. She can heal your injuries.”

They had even retrieved the unconscious Fake Krrish. Mowni warned them.

Mowni: “Hey! Don’t treat him. He’s the reason for all this! He’s a monster!”

Priya hesitated, but Sharmila didn't. She took Jadu’s hand and placed it on the Fake Krrish.

Sharmila: “Help him.” She looked at Jadu with a gentle, kind look.

Krrish and Doga were still fighting, neither willing to yield.

Prakash and the army watched the carnage.

Constable: “Sir, we can't stop them. We can’t retreat. There are still people trapped. What should we do? Please give the order!”

Prakash watched the destructive spectacle before him, his head bowed in thought. Suddenly, he snapped his head up. “Okay. We will do what we must. Ready the vehicles. Let’s safely evacuate everyone from here.”

Constable: “Yes, Sir!”

The army moved with renewed purpose, focused on the civilian rescue.

Krrish and Doga were exhausted. The battlefield was momentarily quiet, dust swirling everywhere.

Doga: “Will you concede defeat?”

Krrish: “What do you want?”

Doga: “The death of your son.”

Krrish: “Why? What has he done?”

Doga’s voice was venomous. “Did you ever grow up alone? Did you ever go to a place, only to find the corpses of hundreds of people? Did you ever mourn over your parents' bodies, not knowing who they were?”

Krrish looked at Doga with sorrow.

Doga: “They are here. I don't know what they look like. I never thought I would see their corpses like this. He killed the one person who could tell me about my mother and father—in front of the whole world, live on TV. He took everything from me. I will give you my pain. I will kill your son. Because you love him, and I want you to feel what I feel.”

Doga pointed his weapon at the unconscious Fake Krrish. As the dust cleared slightly, Krrish saw Priya kneeling next to their son.

Prakash saw the same scene. "This is our final chance," he muttered, signaling his men to shoot the Fake Krrish.

Doga: “Oh! I guess I get a double bonus today! Your son and your wife will die together. Ha ha! Say goodbye to your family!”

Krrish: “R-Rey! Please… stop! Leave them!”

Krrish was wounded badly by Doga. His body refused to move. His legs shook with pain. His vision blurred. He couldn't even yell "Priya!" with the strength he needed.

Doga loaded his gun.

Krrish fought through the agonizing pain, his shaky legs carrying him one step after another, a father driven by a desperate, final love. He used every ounce of his strength to run towards his son and wife.

Prakash and his team, believing this was their moment, also advanced to shoot the Fake Krrish.

Doga and Prakash shared a single motive: to kill the Fake Krrish. Krrish alone was trying to defy this fate.

As everyone charged towards the center, the Fake Krrish suddenly wrapped his arms around Priya and hugged her.

Everyone froze. No one understood what was happening.
