The semifinals of the championship are about to start. The Star Riders enter their mechs and prepare to enter the arena. For this match, the Star Riders are up against Team River Crashers, a team comprising of a crocodile, a hippo, and a snapping turtle unit. Under normal circumstances, these would be used for traversing water. But these mechs are not here to swim, they’re here to fight. As the announcer prepares to introduce the combatants, Fenrir once again feels Fury’s presence. Fenrir tries to desperately to fight his senses but to no avail.
“You okay Fenrir? You look like you’re about to go feral.” Asks a very concerned Jotun.
“I’m fine. Let’s just focus on the match and taking down Ragnarök.” Says Fenrir.
The Star Riders engage in combat with Team River. Jotun grapples the hippo while Valkyrie grabs the snapping turtle. Fenrir turns into berserker form and walks towards the crocodile as it back away from the timber wolf. With a single shot, Fenrir blasts the legs off the crocodile. Valkyrie and Jotun continue to notice Fenrir’s strange attitude and start to worry even more. Valkyrie drops the snapping turtle and flies towards Fenrir. Fenrir sees this, transform into ronin form and slices the snapping turtle in half. Fenrir redirects his focus towards the hippo and charges towards it. Before Fenrir could do anything, Jotun breaks the hippos jaw and smashed it into the ground. With that, the Star Riders move on towards the finals. On the way back to the waiting room, Jotun grabs Fenrir and holds him against the wall.
“Okay. There is clearly something wrong. So, start talking Fenrir.” Jotun says with frustration in his voice.
“I. Its.” Fenrir says before being interrupted.
“Fenrir. You’ve been acting strange since we got here. What the hell is going on?” Asks a concerned Valkyrie.
“It’s Fury. Fury is here with Ragnarök. But something is off about him. It’s like his driver is not in control.” Says Fenrir.
Meanwhile, Ragnarök have managed to finish their semifinal match, leaving their opponent a pile of scrap metal. While King Drasil prepares Nidhogg for the final match, the Driver of the concavenator leaves for a smoke break. Just then, Fury ambushes the concavenator and clamps his jaws on the theropods head. From there, Fury crushes the concavenator’s head with the Driver inside. With one of King Drasil’s goons dead, Fury drags the body and tosses the metal theropod away from prying eyes. Fury then proceeds to sneak into the room Nidhogg and Drasill are at. While there, Fury overhears a conversation between Drasil and the remaining goon.
“My Lord. The preparations for galactic conquest are ready.” Says the Goon.
“Good. All that’s left is one small ingredient and I know who has it. Prepare Nidhogg and the megaraptor for the final match. Failure will not be tolerated.” King Drasil commanded with a stern voice.
Upon hearing this, Fury’s priority shifts from defeating Fenrir to taking down King Drasil. But in his current position, taking on Drasil and Nidhogg is risky. Fury is going to need some assistance and he knows who is most likely to help. For now, Fury act inconspicuous among the Ragnarök forces. The final match of the championship is about to begin and this match will decide the fate of the galaxy at large.
