A part of the agreement of wanting to perform, Lurch had agreed to wearing a kind of caricature mask of a flat toothed clown so he could (from afar) be seen as one of them! Peter had a kind of aesthetic (I’m lying he’s kind of racist ngl) where only flat tooth’s could be performers, sharp toothed clowns were mostly used for heavy lifting or behind the scenes jobs because their kind was known to have been aggressive cannibals at some point and that perception kind of stuck. Sharp tooth’s only did that in their history from lack of resources and displacement, so now (at this point in the story) its more so a stereotype that some people and places upheld (especially if you have a full set of sharp teeth) and that really put a strain on Lurch’s ability to be a successful performer.

This is a series of lore that takes place throughout my character Lurch’s current life, dreams and memories. Since he is the only clown character of mine that has met all of my other clown OCs at some point, I decided he’s the perfect one to use to use for this story!
