Lurch lying in bed after falling asleep while finishing up some letters to Monte, telling him how much he misses him and wishes he had time to go see him. He asks him to come to his next shows so he can show him how much better he’s gotten! Though he leaves out all the humiliating performance stuff, even if he knows Monte would understand that he’s just doing what he can to survive in the circus industry.
