Then, out of nowhere…

The author introduced a female character.

Me: Huh? Why? For what purpose?

Cue multiple scenes of the girl getting saved a million times, and somehow—somehow—her clothes kept getting ruined every chapter.

Me: …Wait. I don't remember there being an ecchi tag.

By the finale, the weak guy fell in love with her, they kissed, and the story ended happily ever after.

I just sat there. Staring at the last page. Betrayed.

My soul left my body.

Me (closing the book): …The author has fallen.

I started muttering curses under my breath—and right then, Sis walked past me.
