Pa was on his computer, as always, when he saw an ad for a new attraction.
Instantly hyped, he rushed to tell Ma.
Pa: Fun place! Let's go!
Ma: All of a sudden?
Pa: It's new! Let's go before it's full!
Ma: It's probably already full.
Pa: Go! Go!
Ma: …Fine…
Pa: Kids! Go change, we're going out!
Sis and Me: Okies!
We arrived—and it was packed. Giggles, screams, vomiting, crying, and the smell of food everywhere.
Pa, too excited to wait, sprinted straight to the roller coaster, with Sis chasing after him.
Ma tried to stop them, but they were already gone.
She sighed.
Me: Can't blame Pa. He mentally stopped growing after the age of five.
Me: By the way, why are we here when it just opened? We usually go after the hype dies down.
Ma: Pa saw an ad and begged to come.
Me: …Why does that sound familiar?
Ma: Last time was the steakhouse, remember?
Me: Oh right! He saw that juicy steak ad and wanted to go.
Ma: When I said no, he cried out loud.
Me: Good thing he didn't do it on the floor, or I'd have turned into an ostrich.
Ma: Because of that, we busted our food budget big time.
Me: Salespeople don't even need to convince him—he throws his money at them himself.
Ma: Why do you think I'm in charge of the money?
We both sighed in perfect sync.
